Shooting team didn’t qualify for state, but We’re still proud of the representation they showed for Jackson County FFA! All of our shooters hit over 50% of their shots, while our top Shooter was Blake Howard who hit 47/50 for a 94%! The entire team hit 490/650 for a total of 75% hits! The AYSSP and AGFC announced last night that this tournament posted the highest scores in the history of the tournament. Congratulations to all 13 shooters for a job well done!

Arkansas FFA State Convention starts today! Although it’s a little different because it’s virtual, it doesn’t take away from the hard work these three guys have put in to earn their State FFA Degree! Congratulations Ethen, Austin, and Chad!

Proud of the structures class and all of their hard work building this beautiful farmhouse table and matching benches! This table will go up for online auction within a few weeks so be on the look out! It’s 6 1/2’ x 3’ wide.

On the left sleeve is a memorial to Jaxson Steele! We appreciate his family so much for their generosity toward our shooting team during their time of loss. We will always hold Jaxson high on our list of members, not only for his remarkable ability on the field, but also for his leadership and standards! Proud of all of our teams in this state wide qualifying contest. Due to covid protocols the format changed this year from the top teams in each district qualifying for state in an in person district wide contest to the state FFA association being forced to do a state wide virtual qualifier. The top 15 teams statewide regardless of district qualified to attend the state final contest that will be held in person in Hot Springs at Camp Couchdale.
We had 3 teams place in the Top 3 of our district! One of which qualified for state! In normal years, all 5 teams would’ve been eligible to attend the state contest!

Agronomy - 3rd in district, 8th overall

Forestry - 3rd in district, 19th overall

Land - 3rd in district, 20th overall

Floriculture - 6th in district, 24th overall

Electricity - 7th district, 25th overall

Congratulations to all teams! Take State Agronomy!!!

Our FFA Creed Speaker, Noah Young, has already won the Sub-area contest and qualified for district! Now he is in a Virtual Invitational Contest. We had to record a video and send it to the judges. He did an excellent job and has worked hard at perfecting the FFA Creed! So we thought we should share the Video with all of your great community Supporters!
