Happy FeLV+ Friday, I’m Chickaletta! I’m 3 years old and I'm a sweet little panther.

I came to the Hermitage in February of 2023 from a local rescue because I’m FeLV+. The rescue I came from wanted me to have a safe place where I could be loved and cared for until I was ready for adoption. I’m a little shyer than some of my roommates, and probably won’t be the first to greet you when you visit, but recently I’ve started to open up more! I’m very sweet once I’m comfortable with you and I’m more willing to accept your affection if you’re patient and gentle with me.

Sometimes you can see me out on the catio, rolling around in the sun with some of the toys! I can be quite playful when I'm in the mood, and the staff and volunteers can't help but giggle when they see me playing with my roommates and all the toys!

Medical: I’m FeLV+, but don’t worry I’m doing well! If you have any questions about bringing an FeLV+ kitty into your home, please ask a staff member! They’re more than happy to tell you about the care I’ll need when I go home with you.

Good morning, my name is Florent! I’m 6 years old and I’m a sweet panther!

I came to the Hermitage in May of 2021. I was a little shy when I first came into the shelter and would stick to the high catwalks. Now I hangout up there just because I like to watch the daily happenings from above! You can usually find me up in one of the cozy beds high up on the catwalks in Mature Meowers. While I'm not a senior, I like it here because it's a little quieter than the rest of the shelter.

I’m friendly and playful and will happily come down from my perch to meet you! I know we have the rule “the higher they are, the shyer they are” here at the shelter, but that doesn’t really apply to me. Come introduce yourself so you can see my sweet and silly self in action!

Medical: I have stomatitis and am currently receiving some treatment for it to help manage the inflammation. I had a hard time for a little while, but I'm doing much better now! If you’re interested in adopting me, the staff is happy to answer any questions you may have about the care I’ll need when you take me home!

Morning everyone, my name is Cuttlefish! I’m 2.5 years old and I’m a silly panther gal!

I came to the Hermitage in February of 2023 as a stray. I was very shy when I first arrived, and they even used to call me “the elusive Cuttlefish” because I liked to hide myself away in the cubbies where it was hard to find me. The volunteers and staff have been very dedicated in spending time with me though, and I’ve really blossomed! I’ve earned myself a new nickname, Cuddlefish, because I’m actually very sweet and cuddly once we’ve become friends!

You can usually find me curled up in a cozy bed or on the catwalk towards the front of the house, and if you go slow and introduce yourself to me, I’m very happy to let you pet me and even give me belly rubs! Sometimes I can even get a bit silly, and I’ll roll around on the catwalk while you pet me because I’m just so happy!

Notes: I have pododermatitis, which can cause my paw pads to bother me and I'll develop a limp during a flare. When it flares up I receive a steroid injection and that makes me feel all better! The staff is happy to answer any questions you may have about the care I may need when you take me home.
