Experience the Equilume Difference! 🌟

Norm Kenney of LIL Equine LLC, Texas, USA, shares his success story with Equilume.

LIL Equine dry mares are placed under Equilume lighting 75-90 days before their desired cycling date. Pregnant under Equilume lighting 90-100 days pre-due date, result in remarkable outcomes - more developed foals, quicker standing post-birth, shorter gestation, and faster recovery post-foaling.

But that's not all! Stallions benefit too, enjoying improved fertility, enhanced libido, and an extended season of peak performance. 🐴✨

When it comes to your horse's health and performance, the science behind Equilume Performance Lighting is truly enlightening. 🌞💡

Explore the ways Equilume can help your herd:

🕰️ Circadian Rhythm Synchronization: Just like humans, horses have circadian rhythms that govern their sleep-wake cycles and hormone production. Equilume uses blue enriched light to mimic the natural patterns of sunlight, helping your horse maintain a healthy circadian rhythm.

🔬 Melatonin Regulation: Melatonin is a hormone that plays a crucial role in sleep and overall well-being. Our lighting solutions are designed to optimize melatonin production in your horse, ensuring they get the rest they need to thrive.

🌙 Reproductive Support: For breeders, Equilume offers a valuable tool for controlling the breeding season. Our lighting systems can help regulate mares' reproductive cycles, increasing the chances of successful breeding.

🌿 Improved Health and Performance: By aligning your horse's internal clock with natural light, Equilume can lead to better coat condition, mood, energy levels, and even performance. It's the key to unlocking their full potential.

📊 Scientifically Proven: Equilume's effectiveness is backed by extensive research and real-world results. We're proud to contribute to the well-being of countless equine companions worldwide.

So, when you see the Equilume difference in your horse's health and happiness, know that it's not just magic; it's the result of innovative science working in harmony with nature.

DO YOU KNOW HOW TO SPOT COLIC IN HORSES?

Colic is not a disease; it is merely a symptom of disease. Specifically, colic indicates a painful problem in the horse's abdomen (belly), which can be caused by a number of different conditions. Less than 10% of all colic cases are severe enough to require surgery or cause the death of the horse; nevertheless, every case of colic should be taken seriously because it can be difficult to tell the mild ones from the potentially serious ones in the early stages.

Horses show signs of abdominal pain in a wide variety of ways, and usually a horse shows only a few of the signs during an episode of colic. The rule of thumb is—the more obvious the signs of pain, the more serious the problem.

If you suspect the horse is suffering from colic, we suggest that you:
• Alert your veterinarian immediately.
• Remove all hay and grain from the horse's surroundings.
• Don't medicate without your veterinarian's approval, as pain medications can mask clinical signs;
• Walk the horse around if it's continually rolling or in danger of hurting itself—but do not tire the horse with relentless walking and don't approach the animal if it's not safe.
• Keep the horse under close observation until the signs of colic resolve or the veterinarian arrives.

The key to increasing the chances of a good outcome is to identify the problem early and get your veterinarian involved from the start. Consult your horse doctor for more information and be sure to ask them how they can be reached if your horse colics after hours!
