THE DREAM MANY WILL NOT UNDERSTAND:
My dogs are a personal dream.
One day when I'm very very old and can't walk anymore, this will be in my heart, the trophy of my memories.
Whenever I'm with my dogs, I'm alive, I'm happy, I just think about how wonderful they are.
I stopped explaining myself to those who don't understand and learned to communicate with others who have the same mindset.
I know some amazing people that thanks to my dogs I now call friends all over the world.
I've spent money I didn't have and I've given up a lot of things, but all that isn't worth a special moment with my dogs.
They are not just a pet or something I own, they are the missing part of my soul and spirit, they are a part of me.
And when someone tells me "it's just a dog"... Nodding and smiling.
A dog..... only the person who loves him understands.
I wish my friends and all their dogs good karma.
And so the adventure continues.. ✨

Adding some holiday greenery to your decor this year? Plants can spruce things up, however some of them can also be dangerous for pets and require extra care if you have a pet that might see them as a snack. If your pet ingests any of these holiday plants, call your vet or Pet Poison Helpline.

P.S. If you're curious about Christmas trees 👀 ... they can cause intestinal blockage if the needles are ingested. Live trees are also sometimes treated with chemicals that can cause toxicity if chewed on.

We were in California during the weekend, at the 500 acres Prado Dog Park, for the NAVHDA Natural Ability (NA) test with Merész (Somlóhegyi Artemisz). She did great on the test, received Prize III by earning 87 points under judges Roy Ames, Ann Errebo Nyberg and Clifford Fleming! (The NA test should be done before the puppy turns 16 months old, and Merész was just 11.5 months old.)The test was organized by the Southern California chapters of NAVHDA and everything was perfect, everyone was very helpful. Thank you SoCal NAVHDA!

The Mesilla Valley Kennel Club's show has a special place in my heart. Two years ago, when Bátor (CH Tappancs Bator BN RA CGC ATT ACT 1)just started his show "career" he's got two 4 points majors at this show. This weekend he's got his first and second Best of Breed under judges Mrs. Chris A Levy and Mr. Del Richards. Saturday Mr. Nathaniel Horn awarded him a Select Dog. Another first is his first group placement; on Sunday Mr. Nathaniel Horn awarded him Sporting Group 4! Merész (Somlóhegyi Artemisz) was also with us and was very good in the ring, she is getting better every time! Thank you Lillian Ellis for handling both of them beautifully! Just a few days after Kajla, Bator also got his mail from AKC: he successfully completed the requirements for the Agility Course Test 1. He is now officially CH Tappancs Bator BN RA CGC ATT ACT1!

We call this wooden box the "creeper box". It has small openings on the sides, so the puppies can go inside, but our older dogs can't get in. There is a bowl of dry puppy food inside the box, and the puppies can creep in for a quick snack when they are hungry

One of the most important skills a puppy has to learn is "come when called". For hunting dogs, like vizslas, that skill is even more important, as they can be out of earshot while hunting. We introduce the whistle (that can be heard from greater distance than the human voice) as soon as the puppies start eating solid food. These puppies are only 5.5 weeks old, but they already know that the sound of the whistle means "food is coming", so better to hurry!
