Ask him to sit and stay before you allow him to enter your bedroom or outside for a walk. Always make sure you break the threshold first during these opportunities. The queen of pet p**p humor and the extreme "close up," she delights in caring for animals. Scottie knows the absolute joy and important place pets hold in our lives. When they call "all hands on deck,” Scottie is always one of the first people to roll up her sleeves. She is a practical nurse, and USAF retired veteran and has devoted 20 years of her life to Pet Rescue, helping to build Rescue A Golden of Arizona from the ground up. What is the best way to introduce my new puppy to our family dog?
When bringing home a new pet, keeping them separate from existing pets with a door or solid divider is best. Introduce smells first by exchanging toys and bedding of your new animal with your other resident animal. Next, try using a "peak gate" where the animals can see and smell one another without interacting physically. When it is time to bring the animals together physically, always supervise. Never leave newly acquainted animals alone with one another. You always want to monitor all interactions until the resident animals have officially made the new dog part of your pack.

"Because we love 'em like you do," we always try to help animals where and when we can. This means sometimes we at Fetch!, find ourselves in a unique position to bring pets and people together. When our lovely client Terri suddenly lost her best friend, Burt, we just knew she needed to meet Royal, who needed a home. We took a difficult situation for one client and turned it into a blessing for another. Now Royal is named Toby, living his best life as an indoor dog and Terri’s new “ride or die.” We love you, Toby! Congratulations on your new home, woof-woof!
