Desert Heritage Arabians specializes in breeding outcross Straight Egyptian and Al Khamsa Arabians with the intentions of preserving genetic diversity in the narrowing gene pool while maintaining the exquisite quality of the Bedouin horse. DHA is home to some of the rarest Straight Egyptians featuring very little or no Nazeer in their pedigrees and also the almost-extinct El Deree tail mail line a

s well as Al Khamsa Arabian horses who's pedigrees feature bloodlines known as "Code Red" preservation horses including the Europa Ancestral Element, the *Samirah tail female line, and as mentioned, the El Deree tail male line.

Today, we said goodbye to one of the “OG” DHA broodmares Bint Rudaynah. She was a doting mother to 3 fillies, a solid companion to horses and humans alike, and an honest mare to boot. I wish they could all be just like her 💔 but with the ending of an era comes hope for the future through her 3 daughters, who will carry her torch forward.

Thank you for all you’ve given us Daynah, we will always appreciate and never forget you sweet girl 🌈

And with him, there is renewed hope for the El Deree tail male line in Straight Egyptian Arabian breeding 💫💚💫 This c**t and his sire are 2 of a handful of males that trace to this sire line left in North America, most of which aren’t in breeding homes and may not even still be alive or intact. Sultans Diva BCR made it to her new home here at DHA yesterday 😁 Diva is linebred to Sultann (25%) with only 11 crosses to Nazeer and 15.6% Sameh. She should cross magnificently to the stallions of DHA, adding variation to the bloodlines already here while keeping the Nazeer % low, and helping to preserve an outcross Straight New Egyptian group.
