Did you know you can enjoy dinner out and help the cats too? We're partnering with MOD Pizza and Feasting for Felines!

Join us on February 20th between 10:30am-10pm at MOD Pizza at 6351 E Broadway Blvd. to help raise some money for the kitties! All you have to do is tell the cashier you're there to support he Hermitage when you pay, show them this post or a flyer, and enjoy your meal!

You can also order ahead online using their website, modpizza.com, or their mobile app. When you go to pay for your order all you have to do is input the code MODGIVES25 in the fundraiser code box!

Happy Mature Meower Monday, my name is Sarai! I’m 13.5 years old and I’m a sweet torbie!

I came to the Hermitage in May of 2023. You can usually spot me on the catwalks, but don’t worry, I’m not shy at all! Humans are my favorite and I love to greet everyone with a sweet little meow. I’ll happily trot up to you for attention and when you start petting me, I’ll reward you with some kisses! I especially like it when humans pet my fluffy cheeks.

While I’m super friendly to humans, I’m not the fondest of all my roommates. I can get a bit jealous and might hiss or growl if they come up to me while you’re giving me attention, so I’d do best with someone that can give me, and only me, all their love!

Notes: I'm not a fan of being in a kennel/carrier, so I would benefit from having a vet come to my new home rather than going out to visit the vet.

Join us on February 22nd from 2pm-4pm for Family Fun Day! This free family friendly event is the perfect way to spend an afternoon making memories and snuggling up with some kittens.

We'll have a bounce house, games, free giveaways, and face painting. We'll also be having a kitten adoption special because we still have lots of kittens looking to find their furever families!

Special Eats Food truck and Ry's Snacks will also be onsite with some delicious food and popcorn for everyone to enjoy!

Good morning everyone, you may call me Miss Pronunciation! I'm almost 3 years old and I'm a beautiful dilute calico lady!

I came to the Hermitage in March of 2024 with my kittens. My babies have all grown up and gotten adopted, and now I'm looking for a family of my own! I'm quite shy, and prefer to stick to the catwalks and observe all of our visitors during the day. You'll usually see me napping the day away in a cozy bed or all stretched out on one of the shelves, warming my fur in the window!

I get along well with other cats, and even have my own group of girls who I patrol the shelter with in the evenings. We snuggle together and rub up against each other as we walk around, strutting our stuff and showing the boys who's in charge! I've gotten much more comfortable since arriving at the shelter, and would love for a sweet human to come spend time with me and help me open up even more!

Meet Vander, our final candidate for 2025 Hermitage Valentine!

Vander is 10.5 years old and if he's not napping behind our adoption coordinator's computer, he's probably curled up in his favorite basket in the bathroom.

He loves drinking water from the sink, making biscuits on the hand towels, and chasing the red dot all around the lobby!

Lavelle is 8.5 years old and is most often found on the table next to the door to admin, eagerly awaiting a volunteer to bring her breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

King Augeas 6.5 years old and you'll most often find him napping in one of the cozy beds or the office chairs in the adoptions lobby.

He loves to take long afternoon naps and sprawl out on the welcome mat so our visitors have to step over him to come inside!

Happy FeLV+ Friday everyone, I'm Rikes! I'm 9.5 months old and I'm an energetic panther boy!

I came to the Hermitage in October of 2024. I'm a very friendly and playful boy, and oftentimes will be one of the first to greet you when you come into the FeLV room. I absolutely adore our visitors, especially when they come in to play with me! I especially love string toys and the red dot, and I'll chase them all over the room and the catio until I'm just too tired to run anymore!

Once I'm all tired out, I'll come over to sit with you and settle down for a nice nap. I get along well with the other cats too, and you can frequently find me playing tag or wrestling with my friends! We have lots of fun with each other, and I love if my family has lots of toys and friends for me to play with when they bring me home!

Medical: I am FeLV+, but don't worry, I'm doing great! The staff is more than happy to answer any questions before you take me home.

We’ve received some amazing handmade blanket donations this week.

The first from someone who collected donated fabric all the way from New York to make blankets!

The second was an anonymous donation of quilted blankets and baskets that our cats are loving!

We love receiving these kinds of donations and seeing how much care is put into every stitch. 😻

Yulianna is 9 months old and is usually playing tag with her roommates or doing anything and everything to get the attention of our visitors.

She loves to gossip and will tell you all about her day while she sits in your lap or plays with anything that looks like it might be a toy!

He loves butt pats and taking a stroll with you around the shelter so he can nuzzle up into your chin while you hold him!

Beethoven is 7.5 years old and is often found perched on one of the catwalks or cubby towers, watching the visitors walk by with his paws hanging over the edge.

He's a very playful boy and loves toys, especially ones he can sink his teeth and claws into!

Morning everybody, I'm Cherimoya! I'm almost 1 year old and I'm a playful tabby boy!

I came to the Hermitage in May of 2024. I'm a bit of a shy boy, and had a hard time adjusting in the kitten room. Now that I've grown up some, I'm learning how to be brave! Having a lot of friends my age has helped, especially my best friend Lanner. He was a little nervous around all the humans too, but now I watch them pet him and give him belly rubs and I can't help but be a little curious! He helps me feel more confident, so we need to go home together!

I love to play with other cats and sometimes I'll also join in on group playtime with the string toys. My hunting skills are pretty impressive! I'm usually not too far from my best friend though, and you'll frequently find us napping together or wrestling. You definitely won't be able to resist taking us home once you see us snuggled up together!
