Happy Mature Meower Monday, my name is Typo! I’m 11.5 years old and I’m a handsome ginger boy!

I came to the Hermitage in September of 2023 from another shelter. I was quite shy when I first arrived, and while I’m still a little shy, I’m becoming more comfortable around our visitors! I’m more reserved than many of my roommates, and you can usually find me in a cozy bed up high on the catwalk. If you come introduce yourself though, I’m happy to let you pet me! My fur is very soft and luxurious, I know you won’t be able to resist a fluffy boy like me.

I just need a quiet home of my own, with a sweet and patient human who will give me time to adjust. I’m a very sweet boy, the shelter is just a little busy for a guy like me!

Medical: I have early stage kidney disease and will likely need some special care for it as I get older. The staff is more than happy to answer any questions you may have about the care I'll need when you bring me home.

Good morning everyone, I'm Skeel! I'm almost 3 years old and I'm a sweet black and white boy!

I came to the Hermitage in March of 2024 all the way from Puerto Rico. It took me a bit of time to settle because I was super itchy when I first arrived, and it turns out I have allergies! After some special food, treatments, and a surgery to help my eyelashes not scratch my itchy eyes, I'm much better. I love when visitors come in to visit, and as soon as you open the door I'm already standing up to make my way over to you for some love!

As soon as you reach out to pet me I'll push my face into your hands and rub my cheeks up against you. I love cheek rubs, chin scratches, and pets of all kinds! I get so happy when you pet me that I start to drool and I can't help but roll around on the bed or shelf so I can lean further into you! You definitely won't be able to resist my charms once you meet me. Once I roll over to show you my belly reach out to grab your hand for more love you'll just have to take me home!

Medical: I have allergies, so I need to be on a special hypoallergenic diet for the rest of my life. I also am currently on some eye drops, and may still need them when I go home. The staff would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have about the care I'll need once you bring me home!

Happy FeLV+ Friday everyone, I’m Edwina! I’m 1.5 years old and I’m a silly panther gal!

I came to the Hermitage in July of 2023 from another shelter. I’m a silly little girl and you’ll often see me flittering about the FeLV room, investigating anything and everything that catches my attention! I bring a lot of young and fresh energy into the FeLV+ room, so unless it’s our post-meal naptime, I’m usually running around and trying to get my other friends to come play with me!

I’m very sweet, but I can play hard to get at first. It may take you a few tries to hold my attention long enough for you to pet me, but I’m worth it! I just like to flirt a little before we really become friends. Once we’re friends though, I’ll follow you all around the room waiting for you to reach out and pet me. Sometimes I’ll even let you pick me up and hold me while I purr!

Medical: I am FeLV+, but don’t worry, I’m doing great! The staff is more than happy to answer any questions you may have about bringing home an FeLV+ cat and the care I’ll need once I’m adopted.

Did you know you can enjoy dinner out and help the cats too? We're partnering with Village Inn and Feasting for Felines!

Join us all month long in January on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 3pm-8pm at Village Inn at 9560 E. 22nd St. to help raise some money for the kitties! All you have to do is tell your server you're there to support the Hermitage, show them this post or a flyer, and enjoy your meal!

We're so excited to share that we have been selected as a recipient of the Buffalo Exchange Tokens for Bags® program from January through June 2025!

Good morning, my name is Swashbuckle! I'm 7.5 years old and I'm a chatty panther boy!

I came to the Hermitage in December of 2024 after my owner could no longer care for me. You can usually find me in the Room of Requirement, taking a nap on one of the shelves or talking to a visitor, staff member, or volunteer! I really love to talk, and you'll hear my big meow once I notice you and start asking for your attention! I'll keep asking for your attention right up until you reach out to pet me!

I'm a very sweet and cuddly boy and once we've become friends I'll follow you all around the room, jumping up and down the shelves just hoping you'll give me a little bit more love. Sometimes I'll even reach out with my paws or place them on your shoulders so I can give you a little headbutt! Really, I just want a family so cuddle with me and spend time with me. I'd love to go home with someone who wants to have conversations with me!

Morning everyone, I'm WoMan! I'm 1 year old and I'm a darling calico lady!

I came to the Hermitage in October of 2024 with my babies. My kittens have all found families of their own, and now it's my turn! You can usually find me in the Room of Requirement, curled up on the shelf right by the door. Sometimes you'll see me out on the catio, enjoying the warm afternoon sun!

If I notice you first, I'll meow a little to get your attention so you'll come over and say hi! I'm a very sweet girl, and you can walk right up and pet me. Even if I'm sleepy I'll gratefully accept all the love you're willing to give! I especially love to give headbutts and I know you won't be able to resist my charms once you meet me. One look from my sweet face and a gentle headbutt to the chin will have you falling in love!
