Happy FeLV Friday everyone, I'm Baby Boomer! I'm almost 3 years old and I'm a darling white and gray lady!

I came to the Hermitage in March of 2025 as a stray! I had babies when I arrived, and they've all now found furever families of their own. Now, I'm looking for mine! I'm a very sweet girl, and if I haven't already introduced myself by the time you've walked in the door, you can come right on over to pet me. I absolutely love visitors!

Once we've met, I'll accept any and all pets you give me! I especially love head scritches and when you pet all the way down to my tail. I'll even meow and get up to follow you for more attention when you go to pet another cat! All I need in life is a cozy bed and gentle hands to pet me all day.

Medical: I am FeLV+, but don't worry, I'm doing great! The staff is more than happy to answer any questions before you bring me home.

There are kittens everywhere we look! It's gone from a kitten shower to a kitten monsoon.

We've taken in almost 300 kittens since the start of the year and the flood just keeps coming. Just this morning we took in a bottle baby found by some Good Samaritans hoping to rescue him from the heat.

Look how cute these donation baskets are! We aren't sure who dropped these off to us, but we're blown away by how thoughtful they are.

These baskets have everything from treats and toys to litter box essentials. Thank you so much for dropping off such a wonderful surprise! Our cats and fosters are going to love these!

Good morning, you can call me Hubbard! I’m 5.5 years old and I’m a stunning gray gentleman!

I came to the Hermitage in 2021 with my three sisters after our owner could no longer care for us. You can usually find me towards the front of Genpop, hanging out with my best friend Excelsa or just lazing around on my back! I’m a sweet and friendly boy, but I can be a bit shy at first. If you’re friendly and approach me slowly, I’ll warm right up to you. Once we’re friends, I’ll even rub up against your legs to show how much I like you!

I really like humans, and other cats, but my absolute favorite in the whole wide world is Excelsa! He and I are best friends and we’re never far from each other. We like to nuzzle each other, and we do absolutely everything together! The staff and volunteers frequently find us sharing meals or walking side by side with our tails entwined. We know you’ll fall in love once you see how sweet we are together and you won't be able to resist bringing both of us home!

July is one of the hottest months of the year, especially here in the desert, but we're still taking in bottle babies. We just want to share some tips and important information on what to do and where to take kittens if they're found outside without mom.

Good morning, my name is Excelsa! I’m almost 5 years old and I’m a handsome black and white boy!

I came to the Hermitage in 2020 with my two siblings as a stray. I was extremely shy when I first arrived here, and while I’m still shy, I’ve begun to open up more! I prefer to keep the other cats as company over our human visitors, but you’ll still see me out and about when you come in. You’re most likely to see me cozying up with my best friend Hubbard and my brother Luwak, but you’ll also frequently see me watching the birdies and curled up in the cozy beds on the catwalks! If you approach me slowly, I may just show you how sweet I am.

I feel more confident when I'm with Hubbard, and I'll now seek out attention by meowing at you when I'm with him! Sometimes you can also reach out and I'll give you a little nose boop. When I'm feeling especially brave, I'll even let you pet me! I also love to chase the red dot, and the staff and volunteers laugh a lot when they see me race after it on the catio. I'm very determined to catch it, I'll even chase it all the way up the scratching posts if I have to! I’m just looking for a sweet human that can be patient with me and wait until I’m ready to show you how much love I have to give. And make sure you bring two carriers when you come to adopt me, because Hubbard and I are a package deal!

Notes: I'm an inappropriate urinator, so I don't always p*e in the litterbox. The staff is more than happy to answer any questions about what that means before you bring me home.

We want to give a very big thanks to Grace and Ella for hosting a lemonade stand all the way back in New York to raise money for the cats! Together they raised $135 for the Hermitage. 🐾

Every year when they come down to Tucson to visit their family, they make sure to stop in and say hello to all the cats before they go home! 😻
