We will be closed Friday, July 4th, for INDEPENDENCE DAY! We will reopen again for our regular hours on Saturday, July 5th. Please keep your cats INDOORS this 4th of July. Fireworks are extremely scary for animals and can cause them to panic and run into danger!

We will be closed Saturday, 5/24/25 through Tuesday, 5/27/25 for Memorial Day and clinic maintenance.
We will reopen again for our regular hours on Wednesday, 5/28/25.

It's time for Dr. Upchurch to go look at some cats that aren't domesticated! And also hopefully bison, elk, wolves, and all the other exciting animals found at Yellowstone. Dr. Upchurch will be out of the office starting on Friday, May 16th, and will return on Monday, June 2nd. We will also be closed altogether from Saturday, May 24th through Tuesday, May 27th for Memorial day and for clinic maintenance.

While Dr. Upchurch is on vacation, we will be in the office to take calls, schedule appointments, refill existing prescriptions, and perform technician services such as nail trims. We will not be able to approve any new prescriptions, write paper scripts, or authorize refills of controlled medications, so be sure to request these types of prescriptions before May 16th.

It's that extremely dangerous time of year again. Lilies and cats do NOT mix well! All parts of lily plants, including the bulbs, leaves, petals, pollen, nectar, and even the water in a vase of cut lilies or in the tray under a potted lily, can cause acute renal failure and death. If you have cats, do not bring lilies into the house, and don't grow lilies in the yard if you have outdoor cats.

Bird Flu is on the rise and can kill cats!

Bird flu can infect both wild and domestic cats and can be deadly. It's spread through raw meat, unpasteurized milk, and contact with infected birds, their bodies, or their droppings.

To protect your kitties, we recommend the following:
1. Don't feed any raw meat, including raw cat diets.
2. Don't feed any raw, unpasteurized milk.
3. Keep cats indoors. All outdoor cats hunt, and most hunt birds, whether you see their prey or not.
4. If you have birds in your yard, either wild or poultry, avoid sick or dead birds and wash your hands and clothes carefully if you come in contact with any birds or their droppings.
