Meet Nala, a 2-year-old American Bully who came to us in dystocia after a puppy had been stuck in the birth canal for over an hour. After discussing the safest option with her paw parents, they approved a C-section to ensure the health of both mom and her pups.

Thanks to the procedure, Nala delivered 8 healthy puppies! 💕 Mom and babies are doing great, and we’re so happy we could help bring these little bundles of joy into the world. 🐕🐾

Reminder: Dystocia (difficulty during labor) can be life-threatening for dogs. Always seek immediate care if your dog is having trouble delivering. 🩺

Meet Porkchop, a 6-year-old chihuahua mix who came to us feeling unusually lethargic. After some investigating, Dr. Johnson discovered the culprit: a few raw baby potatoes stuck in his stomach! 😲

Porkchop underwent surgery to have the potatoes removed, and we’re happy to report that he’s now back home, recovering comfortably with his loving family. 💕🐶

Meet Dot! 🌟🐾

This 4-month-old sweetheart is ready to leave her tough past behind and find her forever home! Dot was rescued from a challenging hoarding situation, but her gentle, resilient spirit shines brightly through it all. 💖

While Dot might feel a little shy at first, she just needs a moment to adjust—and once she trusts you, she’ll shower you with endless love, snuggles, and loyalty. She adores cuddling and thrives with a patient and understanding companion.

🏡 What to know about Dot:
✨ Likely a Retriever/Jack Russell Terrier mix
✨ Dog-friendly (similar-sized pups are her jam!)
✨ Best suited for a calm home, ideally with no small kids or older children who understand how to interact with dogs
✨ Not cat-tested yet
✨ A bit nervous around crowds or new faces but blossoms into a loving companion once she feels safe

If you're looking for a loyal friend to fill your days with love, joy, and plenty of cuddles, Dot could be the perfect match! 💕 Meet her today and let her steal your heart.

Meet Tucker, a curious poodle mix with a habit of eating things he shouldn’t! When Tucker’s paw parents noticed he wasn’t eating and had vomited up a sock, they brought him to Tulsa Animal Urgent Care after a visit to another ER.

After discussing his history and symptoms, Dr. Bixler performed an ultrasound and X-rays, which revealed a possible blockage. Surgery confirmed the culprit: a long piece of sock! Dr. Bixler successfully removed it, and Tucker recovered like a champ from anesthesia.

Now, Tucker is back home with his loving family, healing and staying out of trouble (hopefully!). 🐶💕

Reminder: If your pet has a history of eating unusual objects, always monitor them for signs of a blockage like vomiting, loss of appetite, or lethargy. Acting quickly can make all the difference!

Meet Stacy, a curious German Shepherd mix who got into about 100mg of ivermectin in horse paste—a dose much higher than her body can handle. 😨 While ivermectin is commonly used as a dewormer, it can be extremely potent and toxic in high amounts.

Our team quickly induced vomiting to remove as much as possible and administered activated charcoal to help bind the toxin and prevent further absorption. Stacy even came back 8 hours later for another round of activated charcoal to ensure her safety. 💊

Reminder: If you think your pet has ingested something toxic, don’t wait—call us immediately. Acting quickly can make all the difference. 🩺

Meet Zoey, a brave 4-year-old shepherd mix who found herself in a bit of trouble after a fight with her housemate. She came to us with a gash on her left side and was favoring her right foot.

Dr. Johnson clipped, cleaned, and repaired her wound with care, and Zoey was sent home with pain meds to help her heal comfortably. Thanks to her quick-thinking paw parents, Zoey is on the mend and ready to get back to her happy self soon! 💕🐶

Meet Bunni, a sweet French Bulldog who gave her fur parents a little scare after developing swelling around her eyes and muzzle following her vaccines. 😢 Thankfully, her attentive pawrents brought her in right away.

Our team administered steroids and antihistamines to reduce the swelling and kept a close eye on her to make sure she was improving. Once her swelling noticeably went down, Bunni was ready to head home, feeling much more comfortable! 💕🐶

Reminder: While vaccine reactions are rare, it’s always best to monitor your pet after their shots and seek care if you notice any unusual swelling or behavior. 🩺

Luna came to see us after 3 days of inappetence and bloody discharge. Her pawrent noticed these concerning changes and brought her in right away. After discussing her history—including a recent heat cycle and a suspected encounter with a neighbor’s dog—we diagnosed Luna with pyometra, a serious uterine infection.

Luna underwent surgery with Dr. Caruso to remove the infection, and thanks to her pawrent’s quick action, she’s now on the road to recovery! 💕🐶

Peaches, a beautiful Great Pyrenees, came to TAUC after her rear dew claw was caught and injured. Did you know some Great Pyrenees have multiple rear dewclaws due to their breed? Peaches had 5! 🐕

To prevent future injuries, Dr. Burke, along with PCSs Beth and Sotero, performed a successful procedure to remove her extra toes. Now Peaches is fully healed and thriving—no more worries about those tricky dewclaws! 💕

Cissy, a sweet 15-week-old kitten, came in after her pawrent noticed some strange sneezing fits. 🤧 Dr. Dunson quickly identified it as reverse sneezing, which can happen when cats experience irritation in their nasal passages—often caused by things like allergies, dust, or even excitement. Unlike regular sneezing, reverse sneezing sounds like a sudden snorting or honking noise.

With some guidance and care, Cissy is now feeling much better and ready to enjoy kittenhood without the sneezing drama! 💕

Tiny but Mighty: Meet Herb! 🐾💚

At just 1.1 pounds, little Herb came to us with an abscess caused by an accidental injury from his littermate. 😢 Thankfully, PCS Aiyana and Miranda were there to snuggle him, feed him, and ensure he got the meds and care he needed to feel better.

Herb may be tiny, but his strength (and cuteness!) is off the charts! 🌟🐶

Let’s give a big round of applause to Herb’s amazing pawrent for getting him the help he needed. 💕
