Meet Nala, a 2-year-old American Bully who came to us in dystocia after a puppy had been stuck in the birth canal for over an hour. After discussing the safest option with her paw parents, they approved a C-section to ensure the health of both mom and her pups.
Thanks to the procedure, Nala delivered 8 healthy puppies! 💕 Mom and babies are doing great, and we’re so happy we could help bring these little bundles of joy into the world. 🐕🐾
Reminder: Dystocia (difficulty during labor) can be life-threatening for dogs. Always seek immediate care if your dog is having trouble delivering. 🩺

Meet Tucker, a curious poodle mix with a habit of eating things he shouldn’t! When Tucker’s paw parents noticed he wasn’t eating and had vomited up a sock, they brought him to Tulsa Animal Urgent Care after a visit to another ER.
After discussing his history and symptoms, Dr. Bixler performed an ultrasound and X-rays, which revealed a possible blockage. Surgery confirmed the culprit: a long piece of sock! Dr. Bixler successfully removed it, and Tucker recovered like a champ from anesthesia.
Now, Tucker is back home with his loving family, healing and staying out of trouble (hopefully!). 🐶💕
Reminder: If your pet has a history of eating unusual objects, always monitor them for signs of a blockage like vomiting, loss of appetite, or lethargy. Acting quickly can make all the difference!

Meet Stacy, a curious German Shepherd mix who got into about 100mg of ivermectin in horse paste—a dose much higher than her body can handle. 😨 While ivermectin is commonly used as a dewormer, it can be extremely potent and toxic in high amounts.
Our team quickly induced vomiting to remove as much as possible and administered activated charcoal to help bind the toxin and prevent further absorption. Stacy even came back 8 hours later for another round of activated charcoal to ensure her safety. 💊
Reminder: If you think your pet has ingested something toxic, don’t wait—call us immediately. Acting quickly can make all the difference. 🩺

Meet Bunni, a sweet French Bulldog who gave her fur parents a little scare after developing swelling around her eyes and muzzle following her vaccines. 😢 Thankfully, her attentive pawrents brought her in right away.
Our team administered steroids and antihistamines to reduce the swelling and kept a close eye on her to make sure she was improving. Once her swelling noticeably went down, Bunni was ready to head home, feeling much more comfortable! 💕🐶
Reminder: While vaccine reactions are rare, it’s always best to monitor your pet after their shots and seek care if you notice any unusual swelling or behavior. 🩺
