Otto’s Journey: From Struggle to Second Chances🌟🐾

In Turley, Oklahoma, Otto, a brindle pit mix, was found wandering, initially healthy but soon showing signs of abuse. A week later, he was discovered with deep wounds and a weakened body. A volunteer from Oklahoma Alliance for Animals immediately stepped in to help.

At the vet, Otto received the care he needed—food, safety, and love. Despite his rough past, his sweet and trusting nature shone through. He quickly became a friendly, affectionate dog, loving cats, children, and small dogs, though he needs time to warm up to larger dogs.

Now fully healed, neutered, vaccinated, and up-to-date on preventatives, Otto is ready for his forever home. His past is behind him, and his future is full of love.

If you're looking for a loyal companion, Otto is waiting for you! 🐕💖 Visit animalallianceok.org to learn more and adopt this resilient survivor.

🐾Meet Finn!🐾 This sweet boy managed to escape from home, and when he returned, his fur mama noticed he was bleeding from his mouth. 😢 She brought him to our clinic, where we discovered the bleeding was caused by a lacerated tongue.

We quickly gave Finn some pain relief 🩺💉 and, after a closer look, recommended surgery to repair the injury. His fur mama approved the plan, and after a smooth procedure, Finn was all set to head home and recover with plenty of love and snuggles! 💕🐶

We're so glad we could help Finn feel better! ❤️

Canine Hero Alert! 🩸🐶

Riddick, almost 5, was rescued as a puppy after being found abandoned with his litter. His favorite thing is visiting the office, where he loves seeing his friends. He can’t sleep without his wubbie, which he kneads to fall asleep. His favorite treat is dehydrated beef trachea, and for donating, he gets a plain McDonald's hamburger. 🍔

Renegade (Gader), almost 4, was surrendered as a puppy after suffering head injuries. He’s a mama’s boy who loves to go wherever she goes. His favorite toy is the laser pointer, and he thinks he’s part cat! 🐱 He loves salmon jerky and pickles, and for donating, he gets a McDonald's burger with extra pickles. 🍟

Fun fact: They both have the same mama: our very own technician, Chelsea!🥰

🌙 After a restless night with a few bouts of vomiting, Finley’s fur mama brought her to the next morning, worried because Finley had lost her appetite. After taking x-rays, it looked like poor Finley’s discomfort was caused by a foreign body. Sure enough, Dr. Johnson was able to remove plenty of grass 🌾 and a mysterious linear object! After closing her up and monitoring her overnight, Finley was ready to finish her recovery at home. Sending you all the , sweet girl! 💕🐾✨

🐾 "Let’s go to the park!! Let’s go to the park!!" 🐾

Lottie’s former family told her she was going for a ride to the park. She was so excited!! 🎉 But then… they opened the door, let her out, and drove away. 💔

Fort Gibson ACO Chris Brassfield was called to check on her as she waited, hopeful that her family would return. Lottie came right up to him, asking for help. 🥺

Thankfully, Fur Babies Adoptions and Rescue stepped in, giving her full veterinary care: heartworm tested (negative! 🎉), vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped. Lottie is estimated to be about 1.5 years old. Despite being abandoned, ACO Brassfield says she’s full of love for everyone, including other dogs and even cats! 🐕🐈

Lottie dreams of having a family that will take her to the park and stay to play. 🎾 She loves to fetch, zoom around, and enjoy the outdoors! She just needs a forever home to give her the love she deserves. ❤️

Are you ready to open your heart and home to Lottie? 🏡

Lottie is available through Fur Babies Adoptions and Rescue.

🐾 Meet Mac! Mac’s fur mama noticed he was limping, and upon closer inspection, she saw an injury on his left paw pad and a completely torn nail. After getting cleaned up and bandaged, Mac was all set to head home with his mama! 🏡💕

Mac wants to give a big thank you to Dr. Bixler and his friends at Tulsa Animal Urgent Care for taking such great care of him and his adorable little paws! 🐶✨

Sadie went out for an evening walk and "caught" herself in a little bit of "treble." 🎣

Her family brought her to Tulsa Animal Urgent Care with a treble hook stuck in the carpal pad of her left leg. Dr. Evans, along with PCS team members Ashley and Rachel, worked quickly to place an IV catheter so sedation could be administered for a pain-free removal of the hook. Sadie woke up smoothly and was immediately interested in some spray cheese! 🧀 She was sent home with her family on oral antibiotics and anti-inflammatory therapy. 💊🐾

As fall weather approaches, early morning and evening fishing trips become more common. Treble hooks can easily become embedded in tissue—we’ve seen several cases, even through the summer! ☀️ Look back through our previous posts to see a hook in a cat’s eyelid and another in a dog’s lip. The barbs on the hook make removal tricky without sedation. 😬

If you need to get your pet "off the hook," bring them to Tulsa Animal Urgent Care! 🏥

🌟 Looking for your Super Dog? 🌟
One that sees fences as mere suggestions and can leap a seven-foot fence in a single bound, like it’s just another hurdle in his Olympic run? 🏅

Meet Toby!!🐕‍🦺

You let him into the yard, thinking, “Surely, he’s not going to do it again.” But before you even finish that thought, Toby’s in full sprint 🏃‍♂️—ears back, eyes locked on the prize! With one graceful leap, he’s airborne, clearing the fence as if he’s been training for this moment his entire life. 🦸‍♂️ Once over, he flashes you that classic dog smirk, like, “Did you see that? Gold medal, right?” 🏆 You rush outside, leash in hand, trying to convince him that maybe scaling fences isn’t the best idea. But Toby? Oh, he’s already planning his next jump, glancing over his shoulder with that cheeky look—"Oh, I thought this was a game?" 🤭

Toby is a 55lb, two-year-old Husky mix 🐾. He’s heartworm positive ❤️‍🩹 and friendly with kids, cats, and dogs! 🐶🐱👧 What Toby really needs isn’t another fence to leap over, but a loving home to foster or adopt him while he goes through treatment. His treatment expenses are fully covered by OAA! 🏡 Toby’s not just charming and hilarious—he could probably join Cirque du Soleil at this point 🎪—but more than anything, he needs someone to keep him grounded. Literally. Toby needs to learn to be a homebody and rest while his body recovers from heartworm disease.

Are you ready to open your heart 💖 and home 🏠 to Toby?

Apply to foster or adopt this fence-clearing SUPER DOG today! 🐕✨

Toby is available through the Oklahoma Alliance for Animals.
