My heart is so very heavy, a customer informed me of what had happened at Doggy Doodles in Tulsa… Absolutely unacceptable. The video is horrific, but opens your eyes to the way this shop probably operates. Why was no one acting on this? Why did they just keep doing what they were doing and not acting like it was anything out of the ordinary?!? Why didn’t they stop him?! Why!!!!! I’m so outraged on behalf of EVERY single dog that may have been traumatized by this salon. NO ONE STOPPED HIM. They ignored what was going on like it was NORMAL, and for any pet owner I encourage you to stop taking your pets there. That is not okay, not normal, and that shop should be completely closed for business. The other groomers should be charged with negligence as they watched or knew and did nothing. Did not take the dog off the grooming loop even when he walked away. He hung there for MINUTES. HOW in the WORLD, could anyone just LET this happen. Spread the word. Keep your babies away from this shop! I do offer mobile services that DONT cost an arm and a leg, and you are more than welcome to watch, sit and hang out in the bus while I groom or frequently check in. These are your babies! Protect them! They don’t deserve to be traumatized by the grooming process and certainly shouldn’t die during the process! I’m so upset right now!
This is the video. Stay informed. Stay away from this entire shop. They neglected him! I would have done something as soon as I saw him hitting and getting angry. That groomer should have been fired. This shows a completely inadequate owner/ manager system. Even as just a fellow groomer I would have stopped him and taken over for him, immediately.
Officials with Tulsa Animal Welfare say surveillance video from Doggie Doodle Grooming shows Diego Angel attacking the dog and not lowering the support bar enough, leading to the dog choking to death.
