After a long hiatus, we are back. The only thing that has changed is we are waiting to be a little more established before we bring our website back to working order. We are also offering assistance with pets as well as service dog training!

Amaya had a great day training today. We didn't train for too long since she's still a baby but she did get a bit tuckered out and rested on the way back to her home. Stay tuned! We have more pictures and even videos to share with you all.

We have paused our regular scheduling to introduce Amaya to the program. Amaya is a 9 week old mix breed puppy. She loves to retrieve items and passed her temperament test. Amaya will be training for assist her person with hearing loss. She will one day be able to alert to alarms, microwaves, ovens, fire alarms, and more. She will also do a few other tasks to further assist her person.

Amitynis truly ALL personality. He is slowly getting out of his fear period and did fantastic at the mall the last few days. Took a break yesterday and today. The storms has everyone hurting today.
Back to work as a demo dog tomorrow as long as he's up for it. 😊

Service dogs are amazing. I love this dude so much and he absolutely has a special place in my heart. Amity I'd my personal service dog (in training) for medical alert/response and guide. He's fantastic. He was a tad skittish today but seriously rocked it. It isn't every day you are surrounded by people dressed in fantasy attire.

It's been a while since we made a post. So we are starting this week off strong with a new weekly segment. Monday Advice to start your week out right.

May 1st: Give your dogs a well deserved break. If you notice your dog is more jumpy, nervous, or not working as well as they normally do, they may just need a break. Dogs, like people, work best when they have days off to relax. It's important to schedule in some down time and if possible give your dog one or two days a week that is full of fun and relaxing with minimal expectations.
This is especially important for the working dogs like service dogs.

Sometimes it's good to stay home and focus on the basics. I put up some cones and then got to work. Lots if engagement games, toys, and heelework.
I don't know what we would do without our treat bag fron . It has so much room so I'm able to keep treats, toys, p**p bags, my phone, and more in the bag. When I go out foe training I don't need an extra bag. My keys fit right in the treat bag! (Not sponsored)

I had a great time seeing Iris today. She has been showing some improvement with her leash manners and she definitely loves to try and say hi to strangers. Iris is newly 6 months old. I can't believe how big she's gotten!

First time we went into . Amity did great! He was very handler focused throughout the store and overall he had fun. We got to see some chicks and a few bunnies. We saw another dog and Amity had a hard time walking passed but once he did he was well rewarded!

Amity had a great day today. We went to Walmart strictly to lay at the door and calmly watch people enter and leave the store. We have hit the teenage phase in puppyhood and Amity loves to say hi to people. So we have put a big focus on remaining calm and ignoring others.

Amity and Oli had a great time at Hone Depot today. They worked on ignoring one another. Oli did fantastic. Amity still thinks it's play time on occasion but he is making progress.

Starting the new year strong. I wanted to say that 2022 has been one of the worst and one of the best years. There have been so many ups and downs. I have so much gratitude for every member of the program for all of their support. And every single person who has interacted with our Facebook and Instagram. This program is the best thing that's happened to me in 2022 and I'm so excited to get to see what we accomplish in 2023.

Had such a great time this morning with Iris. She's 4 months old and loves to try and say hi to new people so we've been working on distraction training and focusing on not pulling. She's such a kind soul but she would definitely steal all of your treats if she could. I can't wait to see how she grows up!

Thank you for such an amazing treat bag. It fits two large bags of treats and my phone and keys. Which is perfect when we go out training during a long day with clients. I'll now always have backup treats on hand in case they're needed.

What are we doing? This is how I play with Amity. He has permission to jump up but not on me. I push him away and its a game to him. Its meant to be a game! We just have fun and when I say "all done" it means we stop doing the behavior we were just doing. So no more jumping snd running around frantically. Its something that just takes time. You can see he still *wants* to play but stops jumping when I say "all done" and disengage in play. And he is rewarded with more play. When we are done playing around we go inside and he gets water and breakfast before he's kenneled while I go to work.
