Hey guys!
We LOVE popsicles and ice cream. I mean c’mon.. who doesn’t?! lol 😂
Have you ever wanted to share your possibly too much sugar loaded sweet treat with your pet on a hot summer day? WELL! Here’s a great safe alternative that I love to make for my pack. REMEMBER to always check with your vet first before trying any new treat to work together to avoid any potential tummy troubles from any ingredients.

What you need:
1 ripe banana
1/2 cup plain yogurt (unsweetened and unflavored)
1/4 cup peanut butter (make sure it doesn't contain xylitol, which is toxic to dogs)
1/4 cup water or low-sodium chicken broth

🍌Peel and mash the banana in a bowl.
🍌Add the plain yogurt, peanut butter, and water (or chicken broth) to the mashed banana. Mix until well combined.
🍌Pour the mixture into popsicle molds or ice cube trays. If you don't have popsicle molds, you can use small paper cups.
🍌If using ice cube trays or cups, you can insert dog-safe chew sticks or just leave them as cubes.
🍌Place the molds or trays in the freezer and freeze for several hours, or until completely solid.
🍌Once frozen, pop the treats out of the molds and let your dog enjoy a cool, refreshing treat!

🦮 Monitor Appetite: Dogs may eat less during hot weather due to decreased activity levels & potential discomfort from the heat. Keep an eye on your dog's appetite and adjust their portions accordingly with smaller, more frequent meals.
