Mike already feels like family, just three months later 💚

Mike was adopted after his new mom volunteered here at Tulsa SPCA.

"I didn’t feel a special connection with any of the animals until that day with Mike (we call him Mikey or papas). While sitting in cat enrichment, he climbed onto my chest, rested his head next to my neck, and I just knew I wanted him. When he came home, he instantly bonded with my husband, who now claims him as his own. He loves cuddling with my girls on their bed, he’s incredibly playful, and he’s learned to be gentle with them too! He and Belle are like two peas in a pod, chasing each other, playing hide and seek. He loves his 3 cat trees and the cat jungle on the wall, racing up and down them. You can tell he's at ease and loves it here. Although, he is quite the escape artist! lol. Whenever the door opens, he tries to dash out, but he hasn’t made it down the stairs yet lol—he just stands at the top and meows at us."

Here's a quick update on our holiday hours:

CHRISTMAS EVE - Closing early at 2 p.m. Due to early closure, there will be no Quick Care Clinic on Christmas Eve. Quick Care Clinic will resume on December 31, 2025.

This is Zoe, formerly known as Pop-Tart. Zoe's new mom sent us an update on her progress in her new home.

From day one, Zoe became a huge cuddle monster. She has claimed her human's love, and we can't say we blame them.

🎅🎄 Santa and Mrs. Claus stopped by the shelter this weekend! 🎄🎅

Each one of our pups got a special visit, and let me tell you—their Christmas wishes were something to hear. Dogs are such wonderfully loving beings. Their wishes included big fluffy beds of their own, yards to run and play in, endless pets and belly rubs, never ending chew bone, someone to throw the ball just one more time, a home to come back to every night and really really big stuffies. 🧸🐾

But the most precious wish of all? A family that will love them forever❤️

🐾 Say hello to Tessa! 🐾
Tessa is around 1.5 years old, weighs 40.5 lbs, and came into our care on 11/21/25. She walks beautifully on a leash and is an absolute joy to be around.

Tessa loves spending time in the yard with her favorite humans and has a special fondness for her squeaky duck toy—it’s definitely her favorite! 🦆💛 She’s currently working on learning sit and come and is eager to keep learning.

Please help us spread the word about this sweet girl who is hoping to be home for the holidays. A loving family is all she wants! 🎄🐶💕

✨ Sweet. Smart. Beautiful. Meet Nova. ✨
Nova’s adoption fee has been fully covered by a fellow dog lover, and she is more than ready for her second chance. 💙

Nova has been in our care since 11/4, we want to share just how truly wonderful she is.

In her kennel, Nova is over all relaxed and happy to greet anyone that approaches her kennel. She has spent some time as an office buddy and makes good use of the quiet space by squeezing in a nap. She’s very social and loves spending time with people, playing with toys, and romping around with other dogs. She participates in both playdates and multi dog playgroups and does great! 🐾

Nova is also sharp as a tack. She knows place, sit, and lay down and truly enjoys figuring out treat puzzles. 🧠✨ She’s an all around gem who just needs the chance to shine.

If you have a little time to spare, please consider stopping by to show Nova some love. Even a visit makes a difference—and she just might steal your heart. 💫🐶
