MY VIEWS ON BOX REVERSING IN SPRING
Personally I never reverse boxes. In nature the queen wants to lay in the top where yes heat rises!! It's easier to maintain the brood temperatures. They will eventually back fill the empty brood pushing the queen down.
Putting them down to the bottom it exposes the cluster to colder temperatures on days like today when the cold front came in which is common several times in March. This sometimes causes chilled brood and you will see them pull out dead larvae setting the hive back by several weeks.
Researchers like Tom Sealy have done published books and articles on this myth queens want move down.

Diagnosed with bees on the brain.

Don't waste your money on propolis hive boxes. The left one is a Brushy mountain box ( the first company to offer them in 2013 mann lake bought them) the other is a standard box 3 years old. There's no difference really from a 3 year normal and a 12 years old propolis rough inside box.
