Tips to make July 4th safer for your pet: 1. Keep them indoors. More pets run away on the 4th of July than any other day of the year. 2. Turn on the TV or radio to muffle the sound of the fireworks. 3. Microchip your pet in case they do get outside. 4. Keep all picnic and party foods and supplies out of reach. Not all foods are pet-friendly, and soiled plates and napkins could also be ingested. Charcoal and lighter fluid should also be out of reach for your pet's safety. 5. If possible, offer personal comfort to your pet by giving them the security of staying home with them during this stressful time! HAVE A SAFE AND HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!

It really is unfortunate that individuals do not understand that small rescues like ours struggle to pull in the donations that Tulsa's Humane Society, SPCA, and Animal Aid are able to secure. An individual posted that we need to close the rescue - we are worthless because we could not take in the dogs they wanted to give up. They then blocked us from responding to their comments.............we hope their dogs were placed in a kinder, loving home!

For all of you that are giving away kittens.....PLEASE sterilize them first.... Spay Oklahoma has deals for spaying whole litters and mama. We have a HORRIBLE pet overpopulation problem, and giving away litters "free to good homes" only perpetuates the cycle. Please reach out if you need help!
