We are a small rattery located in tulsa, oklahoma. We were located in greenwood arkansas at one time but moved back down to our home state in oklahoma. We also used to be commonly known as FCâS Lil Rascals Rattery and have changed our name to FCâS Lil Crittery Exotics. We do deliver within a certain distance or we will meet for reimbursement of gas and to surrounding states. (Read below **)
We work with pet quality rats. We raise and breed for pet purposes only. Our most common varity of fancy rats we work with is Silvermane. You will see that we also have harley, Satin, rex, bristle and velveteen. We do have some standard coat rats available occasionally. Colors are Russian blue, Russian blue agouti, American blue agouti, Cinnamon, Pearl, Lilac, American mink, Agouti, Black, champagne, Beige and Silver Fawn, and fawn. Markings you will see with our rats are Self, Berkshire, Hooded, Ba****ck, Verigated, Blaze, Lightning blaze, and some High white & DWS. We also work with occassional Martens. When pairing up for breeding we go off temperament and genetic health first. That is our top priority. Then we go on color, markings and structure. We want to provide healthy & sound temperament pet rats. All our rats go threw series of temperament testing at 4 & 6 weeks old and right before they leave. We keep record of the temperament tests and will send their score sheets when they go to their new homes. I price my rats according to what ive invested in them, time and effort. We have had a very good Adopters customer service outcome and want to keep it that way for our rats and adopters. We believe that great service begins and ends with experienced and friendly professionals breeders, which is why we put so much consideration into selecting only the best to pair when breeding for our litters/Babies. We try to go above and beyond to form lasting relationships with our adopters also. We look at all our adopters as family and like to keep in touch an get updates when our rats leave us. We try to be as educational for our adopters as possible to so that we may help them out with any info they may need. When our babies are ready to leave to go with their new families we send each baby with a Birth certificate (Includes babies DOB, Varitey, Parents info, And stamped footprints) You also get a Information/Care packet, a copy of Purchase contract and a 30Day Health Guarentee Card. Your Purchase contract describes all that this will cover. They will go home with their temperament test score sheets as mentioned above. We are always available 24/7 to answer any questions you may have or help find answers for you.
(**)We now will Meet and or deliver if you can not meet locally. We will travel within usually 200miles. There will be a fair fee for gas. This includes Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas and colorado. Normally when i say these states i mean the State line at Welcome centers but we can come closer. Just depends on the distance and if the adopter agrees on the fee. You can contact us to talk it over! If meeting us at the 21st and 169 in tulsa, oklahoma location for pick up that is free an no gas fee. anything else outside of this location will have to pay for gas. We do not charge for time AND gas. We know the adoption prices on top of the delivery fee can rack up so we try to be as reasonable as possible.
Now about me and myself. i was born an raised in oklahoma an that is where this rattery/crittery was founded. Its me, my husband and my 3 children that take care of and house the rats. The rats are handled from the time they are born until they leave with their new families. They are held multiple times a day and get free roam time an socialize with my k9âs. Most breeders frown upon socializing with other species or handling at birth due to supposedly messing with true temperament. But not us! We think its very important that we do this and will continue to do so. My rats are all kept in my home and have their own room. They do have a play pen in the front room for the time we get them out everyday. We do not house any of our animals outside whatsoever or in a garage.. We feel this is not a suitable, safe environment for them. We have a Rattery room and a section for maternity. I have been raised with all kinds of animals my whole life. Dogs, cats, horses, cows, chickens, ferrets, guinie pigs, hamsters, rabbits, ducks, geese, snakes, lizzards, etc. I helped run a horse boarding farm out of broken arrow, oklahoma with my family for about 5-6years in my younger days. Once i was 18+ and moved out on my own i got into kennel breeding and started to run a small kennel. I raised and bred REG classic, Standard bullies and along with american pitbull terriers. I first took interest in rats when i was a child and had them off and on my whole life.. About 8 years ago when i really got into doing research on rats and I saw how people looked at rats, how they felt about them, and how ppl did not see how great of pets an companions they are because so many ppl were uneducated.. I also realised all the poor breeding that was being done due to ppl buying the feeder bred rats from pet stores. These rats were not meant for pets. The mass production mills that breed for feeder rats sell to pet shops and sell up front to the public as pets and do not mention that the rats were not bred for temperament or genetic health. And thats why we get all these poor Bred rats. This is from ppl helping mass breeding productions mills and buying feeder bred rats that were being thrown into pet stores and using to breed at home to sell as pets or to just have CUTE babies an not working on lines when they clearly were not at all bred for pets purposes and need extreme work done on the genetic lines. and just ingeneral when you buy from pet stores or feed stores you are helping these mills and we need to get it stopped. That made me want to breed to better/improve lines and also hopefully start to change peoples outlook on rats at the same time. I hold alot of the same standards for breeding that i did when breeding in my kennelâs. Temperament and genetic health is our number one and top priority that comes first! I want to make sure that the rats i raise, breed and produce are healthy, have a great sound temperament and live a long life. This is also why we here at FCâS Lil Crittery Exotics work with ppl and give them a health guarentee because we do care about our adopters and rats we produce! Most breeders will only give a few days for a health guarentee or once that time line is over say âoops sorry! we cant help nowâ. Not us! Even if its been past the expiration date of your health guarantee depending on the sistuation we still do what we can to help our adopters and rats.
