Burrito is reminding you all that due to inconsistency with our previous booking/communication platform, PetsApp, we are no longer using it and have switched to ChckVet. The app is available in the App Store or if you’re not a fan of downloading yet another app to your phone, you can go to chckup.app (c h c k u p . a p p) and create an account where it should (with your name and phone number) automatically have your pets set up! There is also a chat option via our website at Riverbrookpetvet.com ! Thank you all for your patience with us during this transition!

On October 19th our wonderful technician, receptionist, and all around superstar Ehlana had her 4 year work anniversary with us. We are forever grateful for all of her hard work, compassion, and dedication to the health and well-being of our patients. Happy to have her here! Thank you Ehlana!!!

As some of you may have heard, my husband and I are eagerly awaiting the arrival of our second son. I plan to take some time off to focus on being a mom for a little while so I am leaving practice at Riverbrook. While I am very excited for the next chapter in my life, I am also very sad to be saying goodbye to all of you. My last day will be October 2nd.

Over the years I’ve gotten to know so many of you. Thank you for your warmth and kindness. It has enriched my life and I have many fond memories. I will always treasure the experiences I have shared with my many clients and their four-legged (and sometimes three-legged) family members over the last 13 years. It has been an honor and a privilege to have been entrusted with the important role of helping pets and their parents through both heartwarming and heartbreaking times.

Finally, I will miss this Riverbrook team so much. I have been blessed to share this journey with so many amazing people over the years. I will be leaving you in the very capable and compassionate hands of the other doctors, technicians/assistants and receptionists at Riverbrook Animal Hospital.

Today is our wonderful technician Ehlana’s birthday. Ehlana puts her whole heart into every client and patient interaction and has a truly positive impact on every person and pet she meets. She is only with us a couple of days a week but we wish it were more! We are eternally grateful for the positive environment she creates with her presence and wish her the very best on her birthday!

It's never easy to be told your pet needs to go under anesthesia. Don't worry! We always take several precautions to ensure your pet is healthy and safe.

Here is Sam, an RVT here with us at Riverbrook carefully recording the vitals of a pet undergoing a routine surgery. Our technicians constantly monitor the pet's heart rate and rhythm, respiratory rate, pulse ox, blood pressure, and temperature to insure every pet is stable. They are also trained to recognize and treat appropriately any warning signs alongside doctor's interventions.

While we insure every pet is comfortable and safe during every procedure and all the way through recovery, we also offer in house diagnostics prior to any anesthetic event to insure every pet is as healthy as possible.

We recently got to celebrate the day with Amber, one of our receptionists/technicians. Amber has been at Riverbrook for 4 years now through the thick and thin, and we cannot be more grateful for her. She is always kind, caring, and willing to do the work no matter how hard it is.
