We have another animal in need of finding their Furr-ever family. This is that the owner stated:
"Beautiful, pure white cat approximately 8 yrs old needs a forever family. We rescued her and are getting all her medical needs taken care of. She seems to be deaf, which I understand is common with this type of cat.
She loves to cuddle and play. I have never met a sweeter cat."

Hi Canal Vet Friends and Family,
We have a sweet guy that is looking for a home. He was dropped off at canal vet about a month ago. We named him Deputy Stetson. He is a 2 yr old Belgian Malinois. He had an on injury (we suspect a hip luxation from being hit by a car) and need a surgery on his hip. He had the surgery about 3 weeks ago and is recovering very well although not knowing his history he may have some chronic arthritis in this area. He is very good with people and kids and loves snuggles and walks. He barks at other dogs and we are not sure if it’s kennel protection or if he truly wouldn’t get along with another dog. We aren’t a rescue but couldn’t see this sweet guy euthanized. If you know anyone who would be a good family for him please let us know. We don’t have screening procedures so we would only feel comfortable adopting him to a canal vet friend and client, or someone who has a connection and referral from a canal vet client. Happy Thanksgiving from Canal Vet!
We wanted to share some tips on how to keep your pets safe during this holiday season. 🐱🐶
It is super tempting to feed our furry family members the same as our regular family because well, they ARE our family members! However, a lot of the food we traditionally make for Thanksgiving can be super harmful for them.
If you are wanting to share this celebration with your pets, please be mindful what you are feeding them and how much you are feeding them.
We have provided a safe foods list (actually from one of our doctors!) on what is okay to share. Please remember to keep any bones, spices and grease to yourself.
However, emergencies do happen. In case of an animal emergency, please call an emergency vet hospital near you.
We hope that you all have a happy thanksgiving! We are thankful for you! 🦃

Miss Mollie was such a TREAT today during her exam. Our Vet Assistant/Receptionist Khristine was soaking up all of her love!
Mollie even approved of our Butterscotch flavored Bordetella vaccine! 😋(As you can see in the third photo, she tried to go back for seconds 🙊)
