Horses of Hope Oregon (formerly the Adaptive Riding Institute) was founded in 1988 with a focus on providing recreational horseback riding to people of all ages with physical limitations. Programs have been modified and expanded over time to incorporate emotional and behavioral equine therapies. Under development are programs for Veterans, Foster Care Families, and Hippotherapy.
HOH currently provides equine therapy sessions each week to over 80 clients with over 100 different diagnoses. We pledge to make efforts to serve everyone who seeks our services. HOH also provides a Horsemanship Program offering riding lessons to anyone wanting to improve their skills through ongoing lessons.
Volunteering opportunities are available for both individuals and groups hoping to make an impact on their community.
Our trained and highly skilled staff are committed to using their expertise to make your involvement in these programs a success!
