We appreciate all the support we received last weekend at our spicy holiday pop up, and it was so nice to see some familiar faces! No markets planned until the spring, but was an awesome reminder of how fun the market can be! Thank you ❤️🎄

In even more scary news, this weekend will be our last Tuscaloosa River Market for fresh peppers! I repeat, NO NEW FRESH PEPPERS AFTER SATURDAY UNTIL NEXT YEAR 💀😱 So come by and stock up on peppers this weekend!

We may come back for a holiday market in December, but consider this Saturday our last market for the 2024 season 😞 hope to see y'all there 🐿️

Question of the day! Are Ubatuba aka Cambuci peppers the same as Christmas bells or Bishops Crown or Mad hatter or Jokers hat? Am I forgetting any saucer shaped peppers? 🤔😵‍💫 The only thing I've heard consistently is mad hatters have more heat than the rest listed, but never had the chance to compare...anyone tried them all?

In honor of spooky season, our next pepper profile is the Hallows Eve pepper 🎃 These peppers are festively named for their near black color that ripens to a mottled orange. This pepper is as scary hot as it looks coming in around 1,000,000 scoville. The Hallows Eve was produced by Joker Chili Farm by crossing a ghost (bhut jolokia) with a pimenta de neyde pepper (growing that one this year too). The pimenta de neyde is used in a lot of crosses where black fruit and dark foliage is desired. Very fruity and somewhat floral, definitely a beautiful and tasty superhot pepper.
