This sweet chihuahua mix is not just any pup – she's a foster dog in search of her forever home! At around 10 years young, Izzy may be a bit older, but her heart is bursting with love and spunk. 💕
Weighing in at just 9 pounds, Izzy's small size makes her the perfect cuddle buddy for lazy afternoons on the couch or relaxing car rides with her head out the window. 🚗🌞 But don't let her size fool you – Izzy loves walks in the sun and rolling in the grass just as much as she loves snuggling up close.
Despite her initial fears, Izzy has blossomed in her foster home, proving herself to be the epitome of perfection. 🌼 She's crate trained, house trained, and oh-so-quiet – her foster family has yet to hear her bark! With a gentle demeanor and a heart full of love, Izzy gets along famously with other dogs, but her petite stature means she needs a little extra TLC.

Meet Cassian! 🥹🐶
Cassian is not a stranger to the shelter. He originally came in as a puppy in October of 2021 and was adopted in November of the same year. Unfortunately, he was found as a stray by animal control in October of 2023. 😣This time he came in with a broken leg. He has since been treated, had surgery, and is recovering well. He has 2 more weeks of crate rest. 🐾🛏️
Cassian is adored by the shelter staff and loves when given affection. He also loves treats! Poor guy has been confined to a crate since being back here with his injury.
Cassian has been looking for his forever home or a foster home to get out of the shelter environment 🏡
We have not seen any reactivity to other dogs while being here, but due to his injury he has not been able to be in playgroups.
Cassian says "I have been such a good boy even though I'm stuck in this crate to recover. I am longing for my forever home. Will someone take a chance with me and be my valentine? I promise to love you forever!” 💞💌🥰💋
🐾 Meet Khaleesi, a resilient mom who entered the shelter very pregnant, gave birth to adorable pups, and watched them find loving homes while she got left behind. 🥺
Despite her gentle nature and popularity among staff, she's been patiently waiting for her forever family for 175 days!! This makes her the shelters longest current resident! With dogs continuing to come in every day, and less and less getting adopted and fostered, Khaleesi needs her freedom ride out of here! 📣
Khaleesi has done well with other dogs in playgroups while at the shelter and has been a star for Happy Hour adventures. She has been such a perfect girl, we just dont get it! 💞🐶

My name is Bubba and I’m the longest resident here at Metro Animal Shelter. I’m still waiting for my forever home after 204 days.
They tell me time is running out for me, as the shelter is beyond its limits. I get the best happy hour report cards, have played well with other dogs while here, and have been on my best behavior so I don’t understand why I’m still waiting.
I’ve stopped eating and am starting to give up hope. I know someone must want me because all the staff love me so.
I am a senior boxer mix and weigh about 50lbs. I have been fixed and im ready to be placed in a home.
Afterall, They say home is where the heart is so I’m hoping someone will follow their heart and adopt me.
