Made a new enrichment feeder for my dogs. Super easy to make:
Cut 3 pool noodles (got these at $1.25 Tree), cut into 1/2” rings, put them in a box or plastic tote. Simply toss meal in & let your dog’s nose do the work. Put it away once the food is gone. All 4 of my dogs really liked this new “game” (forgot to get pic of Mack😬)

AKC Fast C.A.T. (100 yd dash for dogs) is coming to Abilene 😎🐾
P.S.-Your dog must be registered w/the American Kennel Club in order to compete but registering a dog to compete in performance events (even mixed breeds) is easy to do !!

4th of July doesn’t have to be stressful for your pets IF you plan ahead 🐾🐾
Here are a few tips you can use

🎆 Fourth of July is nearly here! While we enjoy the festivities, let's not forget about the safety of pets. Fireworks can be extremely stressful for animals, but there are ways to keep them calm and safe. 🐾

Tips from ACVB Diplomate, Dr. Rachel Malamed:

Create a Safe Space: Make a comfortable, quiet area in your home where your pet can retreat. Use familiar items like their bed or favorite toys.

Avoid Fireworks: Keep pets indoors during fireworks displays. The loud noises can cause anxiety and panic.

Use Distractions: Turn on the TV or play calming music to help mask the sound of fireworks.

Keep Them Occupied: Provide interactive toys or treats to keep them engaged.

ID Tags and Microchips: Ensure your pet's ID tags are up-to-date and consider microchipping for added safety.

Consult a Vet: If your pet is particularly anxious, consult your vet about possible medications or treatments.

Earth Day 2024

🥕A KONG Cuisine recipe approved by Mother Nature herself—perfect for Earth Day!🌍 Featuring carrots, peas, zucchini, and rice, this recipe is full of healthy and delicious fiber and vitamins, making it gentle on the tummy!


INGREDIENTS
* 1/2 cup of Fresh Peas
* 1/2 cup of Shredded Carrots
* 1/2 cup of Shredded Zucchini
* 1/2 cup of Brown Rice
INSTRUCTIONS
* Step One: Shred the carrots and zucchini.
* Step Two: Cook brown rice.
* Step Three: Combine the fresh peas, shredded carrots and zucchini, and brown rice into a mixing bowl.
* Step Four: Split the mixture and stuff the KONG.
* Step Five: Freeze for a greater challenge.
