Hello everyone, we would like you to meet Mamitas and Tippy. On August 2nd little Mamitas was brought into the shelter by someone claiming to find her in a box by Grocery Outlet. Within minutes of being here Mamitas went into labor giving birth to 4 little pups. Unfortunately, three of the pups didn't make it a day, leaving only one sweet girl we named Tippy. With a rocky start to motherhood and a stressful beginning of shelter life, Mamitas and Tippy are now both doing well. We have Mamitas down as a 3-year-old female Chihuahua mix who we were able to get spayed last week. Tippy is down as a 3-month-old female chihuahua mix who is not YET spayed.
Mamitas is an amazing adult dog whose heart is as full as her spirit is brave. Her shy demeanor conceals a fierce loyalty that is unmatched. Mamitas has a heart that's ready to love and a spirit that's ready to bond with a forever family.
Mamitas is not just a dog, she's a devoted mother. She's a great mom, always putting her pup first. She shares an unbreakable bond with her pup, a testament to her nurturing nature. We do not do this a lot, but their connection is so deep that they must be adopted together. To help with the cost of adopting two animals you will only pay for Mamitas, Tippy's cost will fall on us. Especially her Spay when she is a bit bigger.
Mamitas and Tippy should be adopted because they will not only bring joy and love into your life, but also teach invaluable lessons of loyalty, bravery, and unconditional love. Let Mamitas and her pup bring the warmth of a mother's love into your home. Please come see them and some of our other amazing animals today.
You can call us during business hours with any questions: Tuesday through Friday 12-5 and Saturday 11-2. Also, if you aren't able to adopt right now there are still ways to help the animals here at our shelter. We always accept volunteers to help walk and play with our animals, keeping their spirits high. We also always accept donations: treats, toys, and wet canned food always helpful here at the shelter.
