Rookie is a stunning 3-year-old neutered male cat with soft gray fur and the sweetest eyes. He was found abandoned out in the desert, but despite everything he’s been through, he’s still gentle, calm, and hopeful for a better life.

This handsome boy is searching for a stable, loving home where he can feel safe, settle in at his own pace, and finally know what it means to be cared for. Rookie would thrive in a quieter environment with people who’ll give him the patience and comfort he deserves.

🐾 𝗙𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗙𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲: 𝗦𝗺𝗼𝗸𝗲!🐾

Smoke is a 5 month old lab mix who came in with Wind, but since settling into foster care he’s shown what a wonderful little pup he truly is. He’s friendly with other dogs, curious about the world, and has that great mix of puppy fun without being over-the-top.

With a consistent schedule, he’s doing well with house training, he’s crate trained, and he’s already neutered. His foster says he’s a smart, steady boy who’s picking up routines quickly.

Now that he’s built his routine, Smoke is officially ready to find his adopter - someone who’ll keep guiding him as he grows and give him the loving home he deserves. 🖤🐶

Meet Sapphire, a 1-year-old shepherd mix with a sparkling personality that lives up to her name. This playful girl is full of energy, loves to zoom around the yard, and has a blast playing with her dog friends.

She’s dog friendly, good with kids 5+, house trained, and crate trained - the full package for an active home. And once she’s had her fun, Sapphire is more than happy to cuddle up with her people and soak in the love.

This vibrant, loving girl is ready for a foster who can keep up with her zest for life and enjoy all the snuggles that come after. 💜🐶

Bringing home a new furry family member? Whether you’re adopting a playful pup or a curious cat, a little prep goes a long way toward helping them settle in smoothly. Here’s how to make your home safe, welcoming, and ready for your newest addition:

1️⃣ Create a safe space.
Give your new pet a quiet, comfortable area to decompress - a cozy crate, spare room, or quiet corner with their bed, food, and water. Remember, the shelter can be overwhelming, and new sights and sounds take time to adjust to.

2️⃣ Pet-proof your space.
Tuck away electrical cords, remove toxic plants, and cover the trash can/store human food safely out of reach. Take a walk through your yard and ensure it is dog-proofed. Curious noses and paws explore everything!

3️⃣ Gather the essentials. Before they arrive, make sure you have:
✔️ Food and water bowls
✔️ Collar, ID tag, and leash
✔️ Bed or crate
✔️ Age Appropriate toys and enrichment items
✔️ Litter box and scratching post (for cats)

4️⃣ Take it slow.
Let them explore one area at a time and get used to their new home gradually. Avoid overwhelming them with too many visitors or too much space too soon. If you already have pets at home, introduce them slowly and in neutral spaces, keeping interactions short and positive to set everyone up for success.

5️⃣ Be patient and consistent.
It’s normal for pets to take a few weeks (or even months) to truly settle in. Stick to a routine, use positive reinforcement, and celebrate the small wins along the way. Bringing home a rescue isn’t just about opening your door - it’s about opening your heart. With time, patience, and love, your new pet will soon feel right at home. 🐕🐈

This 3-year-old Staffy mix is full of personality and love. Zerro is smart, affectionate, and always ready to join you for a walk, a short game of fetch, or a good couch nap afterward.

He’s a strong boy who can pull when he’s excited, so he’ll do best with someone confident handling a larger dog and willing to keep up his leash manners. Zerro prefers to be the only pet in the home so he can soak up all the attention - and trust us, he’s worth it.

This 4-year-old sweetheart has been at the shelter for just 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝘀𝗵𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝟲 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵𝘀, and we can’t understand how such a loving girl keeps getting overlooked.

Lo is a gentle, affectionate pittie with a heart that just wants to belong. She once lived in a home, and you can feel it in the way she leans her whole body into you for comfort, settles in close during quiet moments, and happily claims any lap as her own. She’s a true companion dog who finds joy simply by being near her people.

Through every change and setback, Lo has stayed soft, trusting, and full of love. She’s ready to start over with someone who will see her for the incredible dog she is - loyal, kind, and eager to bond deeply with her person.
