Sara is making HUGE progress in her riding and with riding her project mare Aya Rodey!! This is only lesson #7 working at the trot and only her 3rd ride on Rodey!!!
Today Sara did body separation exercises then left the round pen to put all of her lessons to work out in the real world.
Don't be fooled, while Rodey is a fantastic lesson mare, she is by NO MEANS a push button ride (of course this is what makes her a great lesson mare!).
From staying on the rail, to maintaining a rhythmic trot, to working straight across obstacles, you are seeing Sara doing the work not just going along for the ride.
We are incredibly proud with the work this gal puts in. A pure joy to teach.
Aya Abmunition is incredibly clever and observant. To the extent he wants to read Miss Jessica's facial expressions on top of body language.
Slowly but surely Miss Jessica and Aya Ab Rodger and coming back to fit.
Now for the EXCITING NEWS: Aya Ab Rodger will be training to the phantom this winter to be available for cooled shipped semen come spring.

Despite the chaos of military life hitting hard and heavy recently Miss Jessica and the Apprentices have been managing to keep moving forward (after all FORWARD IS YOUR FRIEND).
Today our active duty apprentice, Laura, made fantastic progress!!
Laura is an experienced rider, yet has battled with being stiff through the shoulders/sternum/thoracic 1-7 for the duration. This inevitably caused a braced leg and all of the symptoms that go along with.
We have spent the past months working on developing independent body parts beginning with basic sections and moving to specific body parts.
Today she found the feel of the working leg, the lifted core, the supporting outside rein, and well, the list goes on.
Laura has worked incredibly hard to find this feeling and to hear how excited she was to tell me how amazing it felt that her shoulders were separate from her back lifted my spirits and brought me close to tears.
The work works. And I am so proud of how hard all of our gals WORK!
