I hate, and I mean absolutely hate, that I'm about to be that person right now. However, at this point I don't care if it costs me business because I'm *this* close to shutting down the overnighting anyways. I need to get these things off my chest so buckle up and if you relate then enjoy, and if you feel like this is directed towards you, then please- do better!

Laying over with our horses while traveling is a needed service, we all know it. Thankfully the majority of people who have stayed here over the past 4 years are wonderful, some becoming friends even. As we all know though it only takes one bad apple to spoil the bunch and I'm SO TIRED of bad apples. So please, read carefully and take heed:

POSTED SPEED LIMIT SIGNS| We literally have two signs and two yellow speed bumps. Posted speed limit is 5 mph. And I MEAN 5 MPH. We have two little girls, various pets, full time boarders and to be honest, it just plain ticks me off when you whip through here any faster than 5 mph. Please, look down at the speedo and don't let it go above 5 mph. That is from the time you turn into my driveway until the time you hit the pavement again. If I had a dollar for every time people slowed down for the speed bumps and then hit the gas again as soon as they were over, I'd have a nice house in the Cayman Islands. Read the signs and adhere to them, PLEASE.

PETS ON LEASHES| I love dogs, you love dogs, but keep them on a leash at ALL times. Want to let Fido off leash out back? Just ask. And again, if I had a dollar for every time someone said "my dog would never" and then they went nevering like they'd nevered before....additonal house in Hawaii.

BIOSECURITY| I'm all for stretching those ponies legs out after a long trailer ride but for the LOVE of all things holy, DO NOT walk them anywhere near resident horses or let them touch noses with residents horses. Common sense friends, please.

RIDING| Want to ride while here? Sure, but our insurance literally requires a signed waiver. Please, just ask! My blood pressure would appreciate it.

CLEANLINESS| please just don't be a slob. Some of ya'll be wildin' out!

At the end of the day we offer this service because it is needed and we mostly enjoy it. If you have stayed here and enjoyed it, please be mindful of the above. If push comes to shove, I won't risk the safety of those two little girls in the picture to accommodate layovers.

Thanks to all the wonderful guests we have had over the years. We truly do appreciate you guys! And to the Mario Andrettis out there, I have you on my blacklist. 😘
