🌟 New Year, New Goals! Help Us Become a No-Kill Shelter! 🌟

We’re proud to share that we’re currently at an 85.5% live release rate, but we’re not stopping there! Our New Year’s resolution is to reach the national standard of a 90% live release rate and officially become a no-kill shelter. 🎉

💡But what does no-kill really mean?
A no-kill shelter saves at least 90% of the animals that come through its doors, including those that are sick, injured, or have special needs. The remaining 10% is reserved for cases where euthanasia is the most humane option, such as severe illness or aggression that poses a risk to people or other animals. Achieving no-kill status requires not only shelter efforts but also a community-wide commitment to saving lives.

Here’s how YOU can help us reach this life-saving goal:

🐾 Adopt: Give a loving home to one of our amazing animals waiting for their forever family. Every adoption opens space for another animal in need.

💸 Donate: Every dollar helps us provide food, medical care, and support for our furry friends.

📣 Spread the Word: Share our mission with your friends and family. The more people who know about us, the more lives we can save.

🏡 Foster: Provide a temporary home for animals in need and help them get ready for adoption.

🛍️ Support Our Fundraisers: Participate in events or shop from our Wishlist to contribute directly to our animals’ needs.

🐕 Help Lost Pets Find Their Way Home: If you find a lost animal, please exhaust all options to locate the owner before bringing them to the shelter. Most lost pets are only a few blocks away from home. Check for ID tags, post on community forums, and talk to your neighbors. Reuniting pets with their families directly helps us save space and resources for animals in urgent need.

💡 Why It Matters: Becoming a no-kill shelter isn’t just a label—it’s a promise to our community and the animals we serve. It means fewer homeless pets, more second chances, and a future where every adoptable animal has a shot at a happy life.

Together, we can achieve this goal and save even more lives in 2025. 💕 Let’s make this the year of second chances for every pet that comes through our doors!

We had an amazing year! Although we remained at or over capacity all year we were able to accomplish so much thanks to our community, donors, staff, volunteers and transport partners!

We hope to do even better this year!!!
** Keep in mind some of the animals that came in 2024 are still here. Also some of the intakes are repeat offenders ☺️**
