What a week, and what a party! Cookies' first birthday was today, and we celebrated with pup tunes and Pup Cookies. Today is National Dog Day!

Every year on Aug. 26, National Dog Day is observed to celebrate the love, loyalty and companionship that dogs bring to our lives. Whether they're pets, service animals, police dogs or rescue dogs, these amazing creatures play important roles in humans' lives.

Wondering why they call it “The Dog Days of Summer?”
This is why:

In ancient times, Romans believed that because Sirius is so bright, it actually added to the sun's warmth, making the days even hotter. They referred to these days as "dies caniculares," which translates to dog days. The dog days came to mean the 20 days before and after July 23, a span that runs from July 3rd until Aug 12th.

Well, the heat sure didn’t stop these Pups from having a good time! We had a nice breeze for a few days which definitely helped outside, but the AC and fans were on to keep cool inside!

This week soared by with celebrations! Marvin's Birthday and the 4th of July brought boundless joy to our furry friends.
