Smithville Equestrian Center

Smithville Equestrian Center Certified Riding Instructor (2003 CHA) -We are a small horse farm that trains horses, offers riding lessons, and provides equine assisted learning. Linka Malmin

I have a lifetime of experience with horses and farm animals. In 2003 I became a certified riding instructor with CHA - Certified Horsemanship Assocication. I also worked as an Americorp Volunteer at the Broshears School for Exceptional Children and participated in the Equestrian Special Needs Olympics. https://www.tylerisd.org/o/wdbcep

I have taught both English and Western disciplines and equin

e education in the 4-H clubs in East Texas, utilizing the 4-H curriculum and the CHA materials and of course throwing in the teachings of all the famous horse trainers I have studied throughout my lifetime. My life experience started as a child just owning and riding my own horses. As an adult, I acquired rescues and sale barn rejects that no one could train and rehabilitated them; making them safe for even children to ride. I believe working with horses is a life's calling. I was born with the natural ability to command their respect. I enjoy immensely giving lessons to the beginner. Paying attention to safety and foundational skills is first and foremost. Working with children and special needs children as been such a blessing throughout my years.
