I don’t care how your children came to you, fingers and toes, paws, slithering, or hooves…
Mom/Dad, you don’t have a 9-5 you have a 24/7…
Our roles as parents look different, and that’s okay to be different... It’s time we normalize that not everyone has a baby because of reasons that’s not your business or mine!
But encourage the mom whose had a hard day or the dad whose struggling.

Just because our kids aren’t human, doesn’t mean we aren’t waking up all night, feeding at all hours, going out and back in, going for car drives to make it better or driving to emergency hospitals… So if your kids are not humans, remember their still your kids!!!

Grief is love's souvenir. It's our proof that we once loved. Grief is the receipt we wave in the air that says to the world : Look! Love was once mine. I love well. Here is my proof that I paid the price. -unknown (to me)

Except: love, his love, is always mine…
Don’t hang your head in grief friend… but remember that you are theirs and they are yours, even if God just loaned them to be their mom for awhile. It’s a job you did well…

-xoxo Micah’s mom

Dear Mama,
Weather is icky today huh?
Can I give you 5 second of insight.
Dry their wet, icky, dirty, feet.
One day they won’t want you to.
One day they may be here for you.
So while you can, wipe their feet…
&take the picture

Because coming from a mom who wishes she could dry a Little Boy In A Fur Suit’s feet one more time, I am learning to embrace the little things…
even if it’s my littles letting them dry their wet, dirt filled, feet…

Embrace the small things, and be sure to take them outside and dance in this rain…
Play loud music…
We only have one life to live….
Live it as full as you can!
They learn from us…
& we deserve as moms to give them the best parts of us…
Besides who else is the best part of us?
Them.

-xoxo Furever Micah’s Mama!

Blu is a 16 week old puppy that presents with dry flaky skin, and missing hair in some places.
He has had been to the vet x 3 vaccs x 3.

He *was* living with a cat….
Could the cat have caused this?

He’s on a great diet.
Cap refill is perfect, plays good, eating perfect, no exposure to other dogs or anything else that could cause anything that could otherwise spread…

-xoxo, me!

Appreciate your advice in advance!

We have come to a close of 2023
A year of memories, adventures, obstacles, and learning ways of how we will overcome them together. My injury blessed me to meet my new family who really started out as my housemates but are forever my family and they check on me often.

If 2023 has given me anything it’s hope.
Don’t give up hope.

Somebody’s going to be in those bleachers cheering you on the sidelines, and I promise you whether it takes you 1 month or 3 years, we will see this through together!

I haven’t left Micah in May 24, 2021 nor have I stayed there. I live life as fully as I can and I talk about him often because for me Micah still is. Heaven doesn’t change a relationship it changes healing, address, physical state. Some moments I live like he’s right next to me, windows down and the world hasn’t changed, for me sometimes it hasn’t. But other times I still sink under the covers and find my safe people and talk it out… I will say I am sometimes quick to run to my safe people in the “room” when I still sometimes struggle in the spaces of where he is not.

Friend, let me share with you, wherever you are on your grief journey, I will go with you, I will sit with you, but God is with you too. In the highest of places and the lowest of places, your person, your baby, your dog, is still yours and you are still there’s…. No passage of time will take that away from you! I do see you hurting watching the year turn, and I am so sorry.

We are moving forward with the ones we carry into 2024, not without them.
Please do not let this upcoming year make you feel as if you are leaving the one you love behind, it’s simply not true… 💜

I love you, welcome 2024, please be kind.
- xoxo Micah’s Mom

This little girl lost her parents and siblings in an accident at an oil field. The finders knew she needed help and got her to us as soon as they could. Once she settles in she'll join the other foxes in our care so she can once again have companionship while she grows up and begins her wild life 💙💚💛
