We have come to a close of 2023
A year of memories, adventures, obstacles, and learning ways of how we will overcome them together. My injury blessed me to meet my new family who really started out as my housemates but are forever my family and they check on me often.
If 2023 has given me anything it’s hope.
Don’t give up hope.
Somebody’s going to be in those bleachers cheering you on the sidelines, and I promise you whether it takes you 1 month or 3 years, we will see this through together!
I haven’t left Micah in May 24, 2021 nor have I stayed there. I live life as fully as I can and I talk about him often because for me Micah still is. Heaven doesn’t change a relationship it changes healing, address, physical state. Some moments I live like he’s right next to me, windows down and the world hasn’t changed, for me sometimes it hasn’t. But other times I still sink under the covers and find my safe people and talk it out… I will say I am sometimes quick to run to my safe people in the “room” when I still sometimes struggle in the spaces of where he is not.
Friend, let me share with you, wherever you are on your grief journey, I will go with you, I will sit with you, but God is with you too. In the highest of places and the lowest of places, your person, your baby, your dog, is still yours and you are still there’s…. No passage of time will take that away from you! I do see you hurting watching the year turn, and I am so sorry.
We are moving forward with the ones we carry into 2024, not without them.
Please do not let this upcoming year make you feel as if you are leaving the one you love behind, it’s simply not true… 💜
I love you, welcome 2024, please be kind.

Thank you Samantha for being the strength I need to see when I am weary and need to see Gods words on paper!
Thank you Samantha for sharing our boy, loving him so unconditionally and holding space for him!!!!
There are a MILLION OF YOU I can’t imagine to mention but you have sat with me in the darkest places and the highest places!
Let’s welcome 2024 with open arms & carry our loved ones! 🙌
