I’m sure many of you have seen this video. A UPS driver saw these Chis over a year ago living in a dirt pen!! It made her sick to watch these babies endure the cold and heat! Puppies were born here, 2 use to live indoors but were thrown out like the others. She spoke with the owner and finally got her to agree to surrender them to be rescued! 2 are possibly pregnant!
We have 4 at our facility now and the others will arrive Friday! We need fosters! I can send them on transport in December

-Aka Hunkerdoodle, aka Hunkalicious, aka Hunky Monkey.
-Approximate age: 4
-Breed: Australian Kelpie mix, perhaps?
-Energy level: high if he’s got toys. He’ll chase them all day if I let him. Once the toys are hidden, he’s real mellow. He’ll cuddle up in the chair next to me, or sometimes in my lap, for hours at a time on days I’m feeling particularly lazy.
-Favorite things:
⁃ #1, his toys. I cannot emphasize this enough. He’s a psycho about his toys. He wants to share them, but at the same time, he’ll try to snatch them out of your hand if you’re not throwing them soon enough for his liking. “Wait, that’s mine. Give it back!” Watch your fingers! Seriously, watch your fingers. He’s nipped me several times trying to beat me to the toy, or trying to take it from my hand, though never hard enough to break skin.
⁃ #2, people. He loves everyone he meets. And from what I hear, the feeling is mutual. Everyone raves about how great he is.
⁃ #3, walks. He doesn’t have great leash manners, though. He pulls a lot. I’ve tried working on that with him, but I am not a good trainer, and he is not a great listener. If he sees other people, he’ll try to drag you toward them to say hello.
-Temperament: very sweet and affectionate. He gives hugs. As mentioned before, he’s great with people. He’s gentle with my 10 year old niece, but hasn’t been around anyone younger than that.
-Housebroken? Yes, 100%.
-Kennel trained? Yes, with a caveat. See next question for that. He stays in his kennel when I leave the house for more than 30 minutes. He’s been fine alone and outside the kennel for short periods, and hasn’t destroyed or eaten anything he shouldn’t on those excursions.
-Quirks: he’s a velcro-dog, and has TERRIBLE separation anxiety. As soon as you put him in his kennel and walk away (or put him in a bedroom w
