Our office will be closed this Friday August 22 from 10am-12 noon; and all next week August 25-29 from 10am- 12 noon...otherwise normal hrs, just closed for 2 hrs each day as noted. Thanks.

To the client that couldn't get their pet in this morning due to a full schedule of surgery, hospital treatments, bloodwork, radiograpghs, and an e***a; and a completely full schedule in the afternoon, which was slightly shortened as the doctor had a Cat Scan scheduled at 3:15 pm to see why he has had chronic pain for 3 months...yes you have been a good client, and yes you bring all your pets here and have spent alot of money at our office...
but we have alot of good clients that do the same. So getting upset with the receptionist and your sister in the background using the F word, and getting all your records as you will be finding another vet...we are very sorry we could not get your pet in this morning. We did recommend you get him to the Emergency clinic in State Coolege...which if my pet was injured in my yard last evening and he had a hole in his head and was bleeding, and you were having issues with your neighbors...I would have taken him to Emergency last night.

UPDATE- Owners located. Two dogs running free around Jeno's, Grazierville near road. Currently at Tyrone Vet Clinic. Both have collars and licenses, but no ID or rabies tag numbers. Courthouse is closed to check license numbers. One is a small male mix, cream color, possibly shih tzu or puggle mix. Other one is a medium black lab mix female.

For those who haven't tried the new bakery in our area, Sugar Mill Bakery and Cafe; they are doing well. Just across the street from our office. Cookies, cinnamon rolls, sticky buns, cannolis, brownies, pies, cakes, breads, oreo balls, and pizzas on Sundays and Monday's. They sell out quickly, so best to order ahead. Of course I have tried just about everything and am back quite often.

Our office has donated $1000, $500 to the Bedford County Humane Society and $500 to the Central PA Humane Society for helping with the horrendous dog hoarding situation that was recently discovered in Bedford, Pa. Any clients can also send donations and/or food, cleaning supplies, etc directly to them. Their addresses are on Facebook. Thanks for all the local support of restaurants, businesses, volunteers, news media, etc.

Apologies to you, our clients. I got back from one week vacation and picked up the Covid bug. I had to take an additional week off. I was pretty sick with a bad, productive cough, fever, chills, and no energy. I was started on Paxlovid on day 3. It gave me a horrible metal taste in my mouth leaving me with little appetite. I lost 10 lbs( the only positive?), and culminated in mini shallow coughing fits with severe rib/chest pain. After a midnight trip to the ER late Saturday into Sunday morning, a cortisone injection ,and some tessalon perles for cough, I feel like a new person.
Godwilling our office will be up to pretty full swing beginning Monday. But bear with us. Both phone lines will be ringing. We will be continuing to try to schedule 2 weeks of re-scheduled appointments in attempt to catch up. I am sure I may get winded or tired through the week. I will be wearing a mask. Masking for clients will be optional. Please be patient. Thanks.
