Duke is about 9 years and weighs 26 pounds. He loves to eat and is prone to hunting around the house for an extra snack. Duke is house-broken and well-mannered in the home. He loves to get on the bed with you to hang out and sleep. Duke has short little legs so he will need help getting up or will need a ramp/stairs to join you. Black Widow is a much nicer dog than her name implies! She is one year old and weighs around 35 pounds. Black Widow is a very smart girl and is eager to figure out what it is you want her to do. She loves going on walks with families that come to volunteer at the refuge. Sadly, she has grown up here at Royal. She came to us as a puppy in January of this year and has survived the Parvo virus.   • I want to volunteer, how do I do that? Go to www.signupgenius.com and look up our account under [email protected] and sign up there. You can also find the most current sign up on our page. A new one is posted every Sunday.

  • How old do you have to be to volunteer by yourself? At least 16, unless you have attended the orientation session and have cleared it with management.
