Membership meeting are held the first Monday of every month, but because the the holiday in Sept it will be on the 9th.

Doors open at 1730 hrs (5:30) for set up. Potluck is at 1830 hrs (6:30), meeting follows at 1900 hrs (7:00).

Meetings and potluck is open to the public.

· Don’t rely upon others, including local government.
· Do you have a neighbor who needs help?

2. HOW TO PREPARE

· Have a “Go Bag” ready at all times.
· Essential items for 5 days, for yourself, home, office, car.
· Register your home and cell phone with your UPD or County SO

3. PETS

· Don’t forget your pets
· Shelter (crates), food, water

4. CONTACT INFO.

· Phone #, emails of friends and relatives.

· These are check in info to let them know your OK or have a need.

Age Well Smart Driver
California Highway Patrol
Senior Driving Course.

This course includes driver safety, basic road courtesy, information on the impact of visual or hearing impairment on driving abilities, tips on avoiding or offsetting hazard road conditions, and improving driving performance. You will also receive updates on changes the legislature has made to rules of the road and vehicle equipment.

Some insurance companies offer discounted premiums with certificate of course completion.
Check with your insurance provider to confirm this program meets it criteria for policy discounts.

I didn't know this.. Did you? Have you ever been in a cemetery and saw coins laying on a tombstone? There is actually a reason behind it.


COINS LEFT ON TOMBSTONES

While visiting some cemeteries you may notice that headstones marking certain graves have coins on them, left by previous visitors to the grave.

These coins have distinct meanings when left on the headstones of those who gave their life while serving in America's military, and these meanings vary depending on the denomination of coin.

A coin left on a headstone or at the grave site is meant as a message to the deceased soldier's family that someone else has visited the grave to pay respect. Leaving a penny at the grave means simply that you visited.
