This is so fun! I’m really enjoying these questions and getting to connect with you. Here are a few to share and I’d love to hear what you do! I’d like to make this a regular part of our content so keep the questions coming! How about you? How do you name your foals, or other pets? Do you have an alphabet or theme each season? I am seriously considering that. Do you hard tie your suckling/weanlings? It’s nice to have a place to share experiences and opinions and great to hear what others have found to be helpful. I have also found that being open minded and flexible is important ☺️ What works for one doesn’t mean it will work for all and that’s ok!

Breeding and foaling season is fast approaching over here! I love learning and sharing my personal experiences and the things I learn or do to improve and grow each year. Anyone else getting baby fever? I am grateful that our foaling season won’t start until April this year but I’m getting a little jealous of my California and quarter horse and thoroughbred breeding farm friends. All these cute babies every time I open my phone! Here’s a picture of our January 2022 c**t Tito to remind everyone of how cute Warlander babies are while we wait for our season to begin. How many foals are you expecting this year? What’s your favorite part of foaling/baby horse raising?

Don’t wait! Spring will change the prices and availability of what we currently have offered. We also have one In Utero contract still available for 2025. All mares can be offered with a breeding to one of our stallions.

🦄 Hada JAM(Canelo de Trujillo X Letrada VJ) 2020 Bay Dun EEAAD/nd1 Inscribed PRE Mare, 15h +/-, Hada is a maiden mare and ready to be bred or start her riding career. She is too closely related to my stallions and my desire to downsize and simplify my program is the only reason she’s being offered. Reduced to 20k for the remainder of winter or until she heads to training.

🦄 Illusion GR(EPICO I X GALLEGA RN) 2017 Sorrel eeAa Inscribed PRE Mare, 166cm, lightly started under saddle, excellent and easy mother from conception to weaning. Above average movement for her breed and enjoys ridden work. Reduced to 20k for the remainder of the winter.

🦄 Hilaria KD(ODIN X ZAMORA HM) 2012 Buckskin Ee/Aa/nCR/nd1/nd2 Approved APSL Lusitano Mare, 15.2 h. Uncomplicated and a pleasure to have in your broodmare herd, settles with frozen and fresh very easily and is a phenomenal mother. She will only be available through the remainder of the winter and has been reduced to 15k.

🦄 Tzipora SW(I Don Malagueno X Hilaria KD) 2023 Dunalino ee/Aa/nCR/D APSL Filly, expected to reach 15.3-16h. She is one of very few true Dun APSL Lusitanos in the US and is a phenomenal example of her breed. Ora’s asking price is 19,500 and will increase or be retained in April.

🦄 Demi SW(Ironman X Eternal Autumn) 2024, 75% Friesian 25% Lusitano, F2 Buckskin EeAaCR Warlander Filly, expected to reach 15.2+, this filly is a maternal granddaughter to the late Saphiro and is blooming into a beautiful baroque example of a Warlander mare. Good bone, movement and mega hair. She’s being temporarily reduced to 12k until weaning.

🦄Alzina(TRALLA V X ABEJA DE L Y W) 2016 Imported Palamino Revised PRE Mare, 16h+ and very baroque, a proven broodmare with her last breeding farm. Allie requires caslicks to prevent placentitis in her pregnancy, I would prefer to simplify my breeding season so she’s being offered until she is in foal. 15k

Our young guy Titan(MEINTE 490 X HARMEN 424) got to meet the neighbor. Pedro let himself out after his mom went to work. I kept an eye on him to make sure he didn’t decide to go on a walk about but he was perfectly content standing at the fence line and visiting with Titan all afternoon. I wonder what a young Friesian stallion and a seasoned rodeo gelding talked about? Titan was jealous of Pedro’s blanket, he’s put in a request for one now 🤣

Such a powerhouse filly! It’s been so fun to watch Eleanor grow and this most recent “glow up” is the best yet. She’s over 15.2 now as a fresh two year old and she’s got lots more growing to do. Her dam is a phenomenal mare but Sjouke really stamped this daughter with all his amazing “Friesian-ness”. Ellie is definitely entering her swan phase and I’m so proud of what she’s growing to be.
