When you get a one year old birthday celebration like this one, you know you are a spoiled pup!! 🤣 This is Ruby, formerly known as "Daenerys" from Arya's Game of Thrones Litter. She is actually almost a year and a half now, but I was looking through texts and found this picture and couldn't believe I didn't share it! Please know I use the word "spoiled" to mean showered with love. This pup is, by far, the best trained dog I have ever seen! At 6 months old, her forever human sent me a video of her current tricks and commands. To say I was impressed was an understatement. That 6 month old pup could do more than all of my dogs - throughout my entire life - could do . . .combined!! Happy very belated birthday to the sweet and talented and spoiled Ruby!!

Once in a great while our puppy finds his forever home with a famous actor. And, being the smart little puppy that he is, he not only behaves during auditions, he also gives constructive criticism. Just kidding!! 🤣 But his forever human writes, "Wanted to show you how much of a fan our baby Lannister is of me doing auditions. I've had some pretty big audition opportunities lately, and every time I put the tripod out, he sits down and watches me like he's at the Theater!!" I always tell families, ALDs just want to be with their humans, no matter what they are doing! Lannister was formerly known as "Macaroni" in Daisy's Pasta Litter. He is a very good boy, and he is very loved by his forever humans.

Oh, the joy a new puppy brings! I'm not sure there is anything sweeter in this world than the face of a happy child with a new puppy! This forever human is holding Daisy, formerly known as "Orzo" from Daisy's Pasta Lover's Litter. It's not as uncommon as you might think for families to rename their puppy in honor of the puppy's mother. I hope this Daisy brings as much joy to her forever family as her mother, Daisy, brings to her guardian's family! Puppy Love!

I usually am not happy with the way my dogs look when they come home from the groomer's. It's not really the groomer's fault; I just get so used to that kind of shaggy, unkempt look, and then suddenly they are this very neat and trimmed dog I hardly recognize. But check out Ruby! She looks stunning on the grooming table, doesn't she? Ruby is from Ginger's Cocktail Litter. She was formerly known as Daiquiri and is now part of our breeding program. She really is a beautiful dog!

Socialization is SO IMPORTANT for puppies, especially until they reach 16 weeks of age. You should do everything with your young pup that you would like them to do as adults. So what happens if you want your pup to love the water and it's winter? You improvise! It is important to this forever family that their dog like the lake as they spend a lot of time there. They are doing a fantastic job making the puppy feel comfortable and happy around the water and in the kayak. It's super important that this socialization experience be positive so lots of praise and treats and human happiness accompany introducing the pup to these new surroundings. Notice the treats by the bathtub and the licking pad filled with peanut butter as the family encourages an acceptance of water and will introduce swimming right in their tub! This lucky pup is Ruby, formerly Ravioli from Daisy's Pasta Litter. I am looking forward to seeing spring and summer pictures of Ruby having a wonderful time at her forever family's lake cottage!

Kenley's tiny little pups are a week and a half old. Kenley is a fantastic mom. She is so very attentive and loving to her pups. The name of this litter is, "I'd Rather Spend Winters In . . . ". 😀 Here are the first individual shots of Aruba, Barbados, Bahama, Caicos and Jamaica. These pups will top out at about 20 pounds and will be ready for their forever homes in the middle of March. We are overflowing with puppy love!

Sometimes before we repeat a breeding, we will ask families from the last litter what they think of us repeating the breeding - are they happy with the temperament of their dog, the coat, the personality, the intelligence, etc. All of Bailey's forever families from her last litter had the best things to say about their dogs . . .so . . .we repeated the breeding! We are happy to announce that Bailey and Thurman will have their second litter of puppies in March, ready for their forever homes in May. They will mature to be 20-25 pounds. Bailey's last litter, The Iconic Dog Litter, just turned 1 year old a few days ago. Forever families shared photos of their dogs at 1 year of age. I'm happy to share them with you now! Remember Scooby Doo? Now she is Portia. Rin-Tin-Tin is now Ellie. Lassie is Juno. Snoopy is Tux and Astro is Oreo. Happy Birthday to this special, wonderful litter!

Joey's Saucy Litter is growing like weeds! Their eyes are completely open now and they are beginning to climb out of their whelping pool. It won't be long before they make their trek downstairs to the puppy room. How I will miss waking up to their sweet faces every morning when they do! Here are Alfredo, Bolognese, Carbonara, Fra Diavolo, Marinara, Pesto, Primavera, Ragu and Tuscan.

Please welcome Kenley's litter of tiny puppies born on Friday, January 17th. These pups are true minis and will only get to be 20 pounds as adults. I bet you all will be surprised to know that Thurman Munson is the daddy! :) Kenley is a first time mom, and boy-o-boy is she doing everything right! Pups are strong and healthy and have already made good weight gains. We are excited to introduce you to The "I'd Rather Spend Winter In" Litter. Meet Barbados (blue collar boy), Caicos (green collar girl), Jamaica (pink collar girl), Bahama (purple collar girl) and Aruba (orange collar girl) These pups will be ready to go to their forever homes the weekend of March 14.

Can you find the puppy in this picture? 🤣 I love this photo for so many reasons - one of which is imagining all the fun, laughter and puppy smiles that must have happened to make both forever humans and puppy so exhausted. Another reason is a very apparent new puppy love so deep that boys didn't want even sleep to separate them from their dog. Daisy's pups are just over 9 weeks old. They have been at their forever homes for just over a week now. I'm getting the most amazing socialization pictures! The first 16 weeks of a puppy's life are so important. Pups need to have a variety of positive experiences with many different types of people and noises and surfaces and places. These families are doing a great job socializing their pups already!!

There is not too many things cuter than a pile of puppies! Joey's pups are 2 weeks and 1 day old today. This week starts the beginning of a new life for them. By the end of this week their eyes and ears will open. They will soon have the strength to pull themselves up and crawl around the whelping box. And, believe it or not, a week from today, we will give them their first meal that isn't mama! It always amazes me how quickly the pups go from being totally dependent on their mama - for everything: food, warmth, protection - to at about six or seven weeks of age, really not needing her much at all. The male pups are lime green - Pesto, black - Fra Diabolo, Tan - Tuscan, White Parti - Alfredo, and lavender - Ragu. The girls are - yellow - Carbonara, blue - Primavera, teal - marinara, and red - Bolognese.

I am sure going to miss this little girl! Tortellini (now Mila) is the last pup to leave from Daisy's Pasta Litter. Being here with us this extra week has made us even more attached to her and in love with her! She is going to a GREAT home though; they are in Greece for the holidays. You know your pup is going to a great home when they text you every day looking for pictures and videos of their pup - and they are out of the country on vacation!!

This is Indy, formerly Cream Puff from Phannie's Pastry Litter. She is six months old. Her forever human sent me the most wonderful text, "I just wanted to tell you how happy we are with Indy. She is the perfect dog and we feel like we hit the jackpot. No one can believe she's a puppy. She listens, follows commands, quickly learns and is just a good, good girl. The groomer today said she's never had a puppy this good! We had two trainers over who said to not waste my money because she will be fine. Couldn't be happier with this girl. I had two trainers because I didn't believe the first one not wanting to take my money! She really is a dream pup." The Monks of New Skete (authors of "The Art of Raising a Puppy" and breeders of German Shepherds) write that there are three main things that create the personality of your puppy: the breed, the parents and the first 16 weeks of their life (the socialization period) It looks like little Indy is the one who hit the jackpot. Her whole life will be better because of the love, care, attention, exposure, and positive experiences she had in her first two months of life. We are so happy for both humans and puppy.

Joey's litter has arrived! They are so similar in color and markings to Daisy's Pasta Litter (there is even a single white pup!) that we've decided to keep with the theme. We are proud to introduce Joey's Saucy Litter! Meet Pesto, Tuscan, Fra Diavolo, Alfredo, Ragù, Carbonara, Bolognese, Marinara and Primavera. These pups are mediums and will mature to be right around 30 pounds. They will go to their forever homes the very last weekend in February. And you guessed it . . .Thurman Munson is the father!

This is my great nephew. ❤️. He came to visit over the summer and absolutely loved playing with the puppies here. It’s all he wanted to do all week long. I just sent his mom a video of Phannie’s pups playing and this was his reaction after watching it. I guess puppy love runs in the genes! 🐶❤️

I received this adorable video from Roxy’s forever human yesterday. I just had to share it! Roxy was Shillelagh from Phannie and Max’s Luck of the Irish Litter. Her forever human writes, “Roxy is the absolute best addition to our family. She is the best tempered and loving pup. She is so happy in the snow!” 😊🐶❤️

If you want to smile, watch this video!! Jasper’s (formerly Malarkey from Phannie’s Luck of the Irish” Litter) forever human is training him to use buttons that prerecord her voice to let her know what he wants. She has different colored buttons for “Outside” and for “Play”. In this video she is training him to use the button when he wants a “Treat”. Listen for her voice saying “Treat”. It seems Jasper might like this button best of all! Jasper is 4 months old. 🐶❤️

Apparently Wallace (from yesterday’s post) is already pretty darn good at catching a frisbee! Good boy, Wallace!🐶❤️

Great story here. We had two puppies available from Anjali’s last litter. A family called to inquire about one and instantly committed. They showed pictures of their soon to be pup to their best friends. The best friends instantly committed to the remaining pup. These two brothers get to see each other often and are growing up just like the two families, as best friends. They are playing here now that they are "teen pups" just like they did when they were little. It makes my heart smile.
