Recent before & after of a client’s 4yo Percheron. This guy was probably one of if not the biggest horse I’ve ever worked with. Somewhere in the 18-19hh range he wasn’t the easiest, as he was strong & there’s no fighting for a foot in the instance of these big guys. If they want their leg back, they take it. 😅
My first time working with this guy, before & afters look leaps better but still not 100%. By the time I was finishing up, he wasn’t having any of my s**t anymore. Nonetheless we got him cleaned way up from where he started.

Quick fix before & after!
New client contacted me about her horse continuously chipping her feet & slight lateral flare. I didn’t take much off this foot, just enough to balance her from the bottom & a nice mustang roll for the top to prevent further damage. I will see her again in a few weeks to do a full trim & a set of front shoes. 😅

Happy 4th of July everyone! 🇺🇸

Starting next week I am Reopening my books to new clients/horses.

My home base is located in Union grove, WI. I currently service Racine, Kenosha, walworth, MIL, Rock, & Waukesha counties regularly. Farther travel options are available depending on the situation.

I am a 2022 graduate of Oklahoma state horseshoeing school, after completing school I came home to apprentice with a farrier of 20+ years, before branching onto my own. Over the last few years I’ve worked with hundreds of horses, clients, & and a few vets on severe cases. The proof is in the pudding with sound horses, & happy clients! Happy to chat and get something set up! Happy feet means a happy horse!

I am still out working!
I have reached out in regards to appts if we had them for the upcoming days. Thank you everyone for being patient, & understanding! So far this week I have over 40 hours in my plow truck & the week isn’t over!

A snow emergency is declared in Mount Pleasant effective from 9:00 PM on Thursday, January 11, 2024, until 12:00 PM on Saturday, January 13, 2024. The National Weather Service is predicting a significant snowfall during this period of time.

During the hours of the snow emergency, parking restrictions are in place to allow crews to remove snow.

✅ If your road IS signed as alternate parking, those alternate street parking rules apply during the emergency.

✅ If your road IS NOT signed as alternate parking, your vehicle should not be parked on the street or in a cul-de-sac.

With the possibility of snow & a lot of it, Tuesdays appts will be postponed, & I will reach out to you individually if this applies to you.
If you didn’t know being a farrier is my full time job, however that being said it slows down a lot in the winter. If it’s due to sickness, cold/crap weather, not using your horses as much so not needing shoes, horses feet growing slower, or literally anything else at the end of the week I’m not making as much as I do mid summer, & I still have the same bills. That being said I would like to let my clients know, now that we actually have a possibility at some real winter weather, I have a seasonal Manager position at a snow removal company. If we are getting predicted snow, I will be working & appts will need to be rescheduled. I will try to reach out to people whose appts would be affected as soon as I know so we can reschedule for as soon as possible.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous

I totally get that it might look strange, a lot of people don't even realize that Donkeys and Mules "At Times, depending on if took after donkey or horse hoof" have different hoof structures.
One of the biggest mistakes with a donkey and sometimes mules, is thinking heel underslung or contracted. Donkeys frogs act more like a pad in the back of the foot. A horses heels come back to the widest part of the frog.
I think you're expecting horse hoof proportions on an animal that isn't a horse. Feel free to look into it, you don't have to take my word for it 🙂
This picture illustrates a horse hoof on the left, and a donkey hoof on the right. See how the heel on a donkey is forward with the frog behind? That is correct and normal donkey anatomy.
