Update June 2: Dr. Negrin is doing much better but needs to be kept several more days for observation. Staff will be coming to the office for short periods of time for medication/food refills. We are hoping to be fully up and running by mid week or so. Please have patience with us.
Update May 31: Dr. Negrin is back in the hospital with complications. She will be staying at the hospital a few more days.
Update: this is Dr. Negrin’s first day back. There are still complications. We are seeing the bare minimum appointments. If you have an emergency, go to an emergency hospital. Lindsey is here alone and is having to help Dr. Negrin walk. Please be understanding and stop calling multiple times. It is not that we don’t want to see you. It’s that Dr. Negrin can barely stand up for extended times. Coming in to try and bully our staff into being seen today will cause us to call the police. Dr. Negrin really should be resting right now and is trying to see some of the simpler appointments but may have to refer you if what you came in for is too difficult for Dr. Negrin to handle this week.
Complications were a little worse than was expected. Dr. Negrin was just released from the hospital and is going to have to take Saturday off as well. Dr. Negrin anticipates being back at work on Tuesday due to the holidays. Sorry for not being able to get back sooner.
Update: De. Negrin will be staying an extra day at the hospital due to mild complications. She was intending in seeing some appointments tomorrow but this is going to have go be on a day to day situation. We may be rescheduling some people to Friday afternoon or Saturday potentially. And then it is going to be light duty work since Dr. Negrin will not be able to lift or bend for several weeks. Please keep your dogs on leashes to prevent the dogs from jumping on Dr. Negrin as she recovers from her surgery.
Dr. Negrin is having major surgery on Wednesday and will not be available that day. She will be seeing appointments after her surgery but will be limited as to what she can do for a few weeks. She will be able to perform examinations, vaccines and minor treatments but if anything needs hospitalization or emergency treatment, it will be best if you go to another veterinarian in the meantime while she is recovering. There will be staff available for medication refills and to answer questions. We ask that you have patience with the staff. We are also down one staff member who had a heart attack and is also recovering. It is not that we do not want to see your pets, it is that we are also having personal issues that are temporary but need to be addressed before we can attend to your patients.
