Blue Pegasos, USA TERRAFLEX™ is a Tough Horse Shoe with Many Benefits for
Horse Owners, Horses, and Farriers We are the only US distributor for TERRAFLEX™ horseshoes.

TERRAFLEX is a non-metal, non-composite, highly-engineered polyurethane horseshoe. The material used is known for its high-performance properties, such as abrasion resistance, tear resistance, slip resistance, durability, flexibility, load bearing, and concussion absorbing capabilities far superior to plastic, rubber, or metal. TERRAFLEX™ horseshoes are designed to absorb most of the concussions c

aused by impact, a major contributor and cause of many hoof and leg ailments. The elasticity of the polyurethane material minimizes hard impacts and reduces the risk of injury and strain. The shoe encourages more natural flexibility and movement of the hoof to flex in all directions as it should, they form to the hoof in a more natural way, increasing the blood circulation for healthier hoof growth, and allowing the lower leg and hoof capsule to better cope with the rigors of exercise. One of the most common inquiries we receive about blue PEGASOS shoes is longevity. How long do the shoes last? Do they last longer than metal? Do they last in sand or rocky terrain? Do they last on gaited horses? During the endurance season David and I struggle to time shoeing with longer rides. Timing 100-mile endurance rides takes precedence which means there are 50-mile rides that we elect to compete in without replacing the shoes at 4 weeks even though in an ideal world we would. Pictured below is Gizmo with 150 competition miles ( one 50 mile ride and one 100 mile ride four weeks later). There is also unaccounted conditioning miles between these rides as well as natural wear and tear that exceeded another 75 miles. In total - The shoe has well over 200 miles and still is completely solid with life still left in it. David and I never had comparable longevity with metal and the shoeing cycle was a continual struggle. In fact, Che holds the record of wearing one set of Blue Pegasos in six consecutive 50-miles at an Xp ride in Utah - in total a whopping 425 miles!!!

David and I had the opportunity to attend the AERC conference in New Mexico last weekend. There were incredible guest speakers which left us excited for the coming endurance season. We also left the conference feeling awestruck at the accomplishments of all the other riders in this sport- including Becky Hart (Pard’ners Award), Terry Banister (Equine Hall of Fame), and Christoph Schork (Person Hall of Fame). Truly- we are inspired by these individuals to do better, work harder, dream bigger, and expect more out of ourselves and the boys. Endurance is truly a sport that can challenge you in whatever way you choose.

David and I attended the Regional Banquet on Friday Evening where Che’Ole was awarded 1st place in the Middleweight division and 1st overall in the PNW region and Gizmo was awarded 1st place in the Lightweight division and 2nd overall in the PNW region. Gizmo was also recognized as the Champion Best Condition horse of the PNW! Amale also received a regional 4th place award for Best Condition in Limited Distance.

On Saturday evening we attended the National Banquet and Che was awarded 6th place nationally for 100 mile rides and Gizmo was awarded 4th place nationally for Best Condition. Gizmo and Che were also recognized for a 3rd place national Spouse award.

We are already looking forward to Reno next year!

We want to recognize how much Blue Pegasos horseshoes supported Che, Gizmo and Amale's health and well-being throughout this riding season

Why a Competitive Endurance Rider and Veterinarian Picks Blue Pegasos:

Ensuring the longevity of my horses over thousands of miles has always been a top priority for me. That's why I turned to the innovative approach of using polyurethane shoes from Australia. The focus on decreased concussion and impact absorption, without the use of metal, has been a game-changer. These shoes have truly protected my horses from the hoof up, offering unparalleled comfort for tendons, ligaments, and joints even in the face of difficult terrain and long miles.

Between David and myself, we've exclusively relied on these polyurethane shoes for the past five years, accumulating over 5000+ competitive endurance miles. It's not just a claim – it's a tried and true testament to the effectiveness of these shoes. The numerous awards we've earned speak volumes about the condition and performance they provide. They have become an integral part of our journey, contributing significantly to our ability to complete these challenging rides.

What sets these polyurethane shoes apart is not just their performance but also their ethical sourcing. Unlike many other popular products on the market, These shoes are crafted in Australia, ensuring they are regulated and ethically produced. In our 5000 endurance miles, we've never lost or thrown a shoe. The thoughtful design even allows you to sink the nail head below the shoe rim, enhancing the overall safety and reliability of these remarkable shoes. I wholeheartedly endorse these polyurethane shoes for any horse owner seeking top-notch performance, longevity, and ethical sourcing.
