Dog Gone Hair is dedicated to safe, affordable grooming in a low stress environment. I try to get pets in and out in 3-4 hours, when possible, to reduce the amount of kennel time. I have corrals on site for pets that are too stressed by being caged. I am here to serve my clients and their owners. If you need an appointment outside of the posted hours, please let me know. I am available to take app

ointments 7 days a week. If you have a senior pet or a pet that is unusually susceptible to stress, please let me know so that we can schedule an "express groom". This will allow me time groom your pet without interference, greatly reducing the amount of time your pet is away from home. Please feel free to address any concerns you have about your pet or his hair cut. I like satisfied customers and will do everything I can to make sure you and your pet leave happy. If you are not feeling well or have a spouse or child that is sick PLEASE don't come into my salon. I don't care if you think its "just allergies or a sinus infection". I don't have insurance or PTO and can not afford to be sick. Not to mention that my husband had a massive heart attack. The flu or covid might kill him. Please cancel your appointment and let me reschedule you. Your dog's hair cut is not more important than our health. I do not charge a cancelation fee, even if it's last minute. Thank you.

The shelter is in need of large dog houses and bedding. If you have any you are willing to donate they would be much appreciated. If you don't want to drive to the shelter or don't have time you can certainly drop them off at my salon and I will make sure they get there. Thank you .

Edited to add: We can sometimes work in bath dogs as my bather does those. Working in groom dogs is much more difficult.

In order to serve you all better, I want to let you know that this is the busiest time of year. The majority of my pet owners pre-book or have a standing appointment. This means I have very few appointments available. I understand that things come up and people miss appointments or need to reschedule them. But please understand that it may be 4-6 weeks before I can get you back on the books. I know this is frustrating and I apologize for the inconvenience but I am doing 10 dogs a day. Rushing to add anymore becomes unsafe for the pet. Please keep this 4-6 week time frame in mind when scheduling. Also, please text me if you can. It may take me a day or 3 to get back to you, but I will. If I don't, text me again. I'll be honest, I simply do not have time to go through voicemail. I can barely keep up with the texts. Thank you for your business and your understanding. Both are much appreciated.

According to our local veterinarian's office, they are seeing increased number and severity of kennel cough and canine influenza in our area.

If your dog is experiencing any symptoms, especially if they have been to doggie daycares, boarding facilities or dog parks recently, we ask that you reschedule your grooming appointment and take your dog to your family veterinarian for a check up.

While vaccines will protect against some strains of these diseases, it may not protect against all of them. We recommend that you speak to your vet about what vaccines are available.
Also, please know we are screening, sanitizing and disinfecting equipment and surfaces after each dog to try and help combat the spread.

Good evening. Someone just left a negative review on this page. While I did not feel it was necessarily warranted, it is his prerogative to leave it. Just let me say, I know it is often difficult to get in touch with me, and I apologize. For the most part, I work alone. My husband does help where he can, but it is not his business, and he is not comfortable with running the business part of it. I understand that it is frustrating when you're trying to get an appointment, I do. I know it sometimes takes me too long to get back with you, but I promise, it is not on purpose. I am doing the best I can to keep up. If I do not answer you, please just text me again. Text me 5 times if you want. Some days I get 30 texts, so it's hard to remember which were answered. Being ugly to me or about me is not necessary. At least not where my business is concerned. I try to do right by people and will continue to do my best to please my customers. Thank you for your patience.
