Guapo.
We are hit with dogs from every single possible angle, all day long— every day.
There was an email from a girl who volunteers at a local small shelter in Southern IL. She works for the ER hospital there and got our name from staff at an ER hospital here.
She reached out, very respectfully and knowingly that we are severely overwhelmed.
She said that we came highly recommended and respected, in especially working with larger dogs, and then she went on WHY this dog was special and deserved a chance.
Guapo was set to be euthanized due to his size 5 days later. XL and XXL dogs most often don’t make the cut.
The girl’s name is Ali, and not only did she sent us photos, but she sent us about 11 videos of this guy pure awesome.
We applaud Ali.
Videos went as…
Walking by a highly reactive dog? Didn’t care. Wagged his way by and landed sniffing a tree, or talking to elves holding a home in the tree. We couldn’t tell. The dog is magic.
Cat test? Pass. We think we heard him start singing to it.
Male dogs? Loves em.
Female dogs? Calls them goddesses and is ready to serve them in all ways directed.
Touching while eating? Pretty sure he lifted his head, and WINKED, wagged and went on eating.
Approached by strangers? He bowed and opened the door like a gentleman does, then proceeded to show his chaps that aid his rainbow riding skills next level with a huge smile on his face.
Pounding at the door and in comes a fast moving male human? He asked if he needed a hug.
Guapo is 150lbs of glitter and heart.
3 yo.
Guapo is a damn unicorn.
Look at his eyes!
He’s making his way up to us and he needs a committed foster home now.
PLEASE SHARE, and please see the insanely incredible individual that we do.
