It dawned on me that I never posted any information about myself for all those whom are new to the page and/or may not know me. I started typing this out the other day but then I broke my laptop screen. Oops, lol! Now that I am all set up again, thank you to Virginia. I can post a bit about me. =)
My name is Caryna (Kuh-Ren-Uh) and I am 28 years old. Born and raised in Uniontown PA. I've always had a passion for animals growing up. I spent my JR and SR years in high school (Laurel Highlands) at the Vo-tech school attending both programs, Agriculture & Veterinary. During those 2 years, we had a groomer come in once a week whom taught us how to bath, clip, do nail trims, ect. I enjoyed it so much that I got a job at a grooming salon right out of school. After the salon I worked for Nemacolin Wildlife Academy for 3 years, feeding and caring for their zoo animals. Lions, Tigers, Bears. OH MY! Lol. I LOVED that job so much, I hated to leave. But I went on to college at Potomac State University (Small part of WVU in Keyser WV) where I studied Equine Management (Horses). I graduated in 2015 with an Associates Degree. After returning home, I started at Animal Medical Center in Uniontown. From there I ventured to Cheat Lake Animal Hospital, Feline Veterinary Care (Cat Clinic of CLAH), Brook Valley Vet, 6 months at the Fayette County Court House (Clerk of Courts Office) then APG Grooming. After the salon was sold to new owners, I returned to Animal Medical Center where I have been given the opportunity to do the two things I love most! I get to work as a tech in the clinic where I was first struck with my love for veterinary medicine along with the Doctor and Tech/Manager that helped mold me into the assistant/tech I am today. The second, being opening my very own Grooming Salon right here in the clinic! I could not be more thankful for every single person that I have met along the way and all the knowledge I have gained over the years.
In summary: I am a big hearted, caring, genuine , animal crazy women who wants nothing more than to help pet owners and their furry family members the very best I can. From spa days to vet visits. Something I do specifically for those reasons, is offer in-home services. I realized a large portion of the patients I came a cross, did so much better at home while their parents were away than they did in a kennel. Also, that there were a good many pets that needed medication 1-2 times a day which made it harder for owners to leave them with just anyone. With my wide back ground range, I decided to start offering in-home services for both pet sitting and grooming. Helping all of the pets and owners that I have had the pleasure to meet over the years, truly makes my heart happy!
If there is EVER an issue, concern, or constructive criticism you would like to share, please let me know. My way of thinking is, if I do not know about it, I can not fix it. I pride myself on the safety and care of your pets. I would rather keep a pet longer or do them in stages then to stress them out causing the event to be traumatizing.
Thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of the support, encouragement, love and trust from each and every one of you! I truly enjoy pampering your babies!
