Bella is an amazing boarding and grooming dog. She doesn’t “like”her deshed but she tolerates it. I love to get pics of dogs before and after, but she loves us! (Holy autocorrect!)

We are so heartbroken because we had a very regular and loving client pass away last week. We loved that dog, especially because she was a special case who needed diapers and insulin and other meds. My wonderful employees changed her diapers and made sure her mom knew what was happening with her illnesses. When she passed away, she broke a little of our hearts. All of us mourned the loss of Frankie, but we also mourned for her owner who her so resilient and kept this dog so well cared for! God bless Frankie and her owner Cindy! We celebrate the life the owner gave her and the happiness she brought us!

Our shop had a delightful assembly today! Nine playful puppies, all fluffy and cute, enjoyed each other's company. A true delight! And we had two pairs of twins, Willow and Charlie, among the grey and white dogs. I could have watched them play all day!

Today I had the terrifying task of grooming two show Pomeranians! Why so scary? Though I may have a PhD, I am FAR from being a show groomer! So, I got out my grooming school textbook and made these girls PERFECT! I even had to call my mom to come down because these were her dream dogs! We had so much fun with these beautiful girls and I can’t wait to see them next time! (Snickers and Sophie - great names!!!)

So my employee asked why I helped the owner get a stool sample from a cat I just bathed and found the most awful worms I’d ever seen before - I said, I am horrified , but I’d want someone to do this for me too: friends, it’s awful, I got bit, but I love the owner who said would have never known my cat was sick without you!” What an amazing parent!

My two big guys have trained with Lucky Dog K9 Academy and they have been amazing! I recommend them all the time! Thankfully they are so well trained they hear one beep and they are sitting in the “place.”

The Akita Nico always keeps me on my toes! He is beautiful and scary! I know he would never bite me, because we are BFFs, but he does hate the dryer! I love grooming him because he is so worth it!

BUNNIES?!?!? I FREAKING LOVE THEM! This bunny was the sweetest! I clipped his nails and sanitary and we all snuggled with the bunny and it was a happy day!

When I did my grooming school, I had to do 75 dogs, and 50 of those were yorkies! There are so many Yorkie poses, it I love the rounded head. This guy was the best!

Precious Piper got skunked a few weeks ago, and then recently survived a house fire! The firemen pulled her out, lifeless, and gave her CPR and an oxygen mask. Thankfully she pulled through!!! When dad asked if we could get the skunk and smell out of her, we jumped at the challenge. Six baths later, and being super careful of her burn marks, we sent Piper home smelling amazing! I am so thankful for my business, Maggie helping me, and that one of our favorite customers referred them to us!

Today may have been the busiest day I’ve ever had at Green Family Pets! We have 11 dogs being boarded, we groomed 12 dogs, and 2 cats! And at least 10 of those were dropped off at 9 this morning, so we were bonkers by 10, getting everyone walked, fed, given medication, bathing, drying, and answering phone calls! Thank goodness for my amazing staff and all the places we have to put pets! Even though I am aching and sore, I am incredibly thankful for a job I love, a team I can count on, and the wonderful owners who leave their babies with us! Y’all rock!

Sharing this for a friend - Is anyone looking for a great companion? Well look no further sweet Athena 6 year old German Shepherd. Great with children, cats and dogs. She is potty trained and well behaved. Help she needs a good home! Her owner’s work schedule changed and they can no longer care for her properly.

We had a honorable disagreement in the shop this week about “cutest dog ever” or “what a weirdo.” I am going to say I’m firmly in the cutest camp! I love his tongue and his teeth and his smooshy face! He just makes me happy with his wrinkly face! What are your thoughts? Super cute? I think so!

This big boy has the most hilarious snoring! I thought Sophie was bad, but this guy can wake me up three rooms away! I love him so much, and it’s actually nice to get a spa day from my pets… lol

This beautiful baby T***s had her first puppy bath today! She was a littler afraid of the bath and dryer, but she absolutely melted in my arms for grooming! Her haircut was a little hard because she kept falling asleep, but when she was done she sat so close to my feet and kept sleeping and playing and sleeping..: she’s an absolutely gem. Her owners have the perfect doodle!
