I got another visit from Milo the therapy dog. Milo had his first time sitting on a patient's bed! And my dad got to do some dog cuddling just like he used to do at the shop. It was a great day for everyone involved!

My Chihuahua Petey Pablo came to visit me yesterday in the hospital. I haven't seen him in almost a month! He settled right into my lap after doing a complete check out of things. He was sad that I wasn't able to pet him. But I think that he loved seeing me as much as I love seeing him!

Hello! I’m Ryan - Amy’s sister in law. With Amy’s permission - I will now be managing this account to keep everyone updated and this post is just for customers of Green Family Pets - Boarding and Grooming.

First of all, we are so grateful for the support, love and prayers you have showed to Amy and understanding the sudden closure of her business. Amy not only knew your pets but we did too and we miss them!

Here’s a few recommendations for your pets directly from Amy:

Purdy Paws Pet Spa does grooming and has recently started offering boarding. They have graciously offered to donate some of the sale from Amy’s customers back to Amy. Please give them a call and tell them you were a customer of Amy’s.

Lucky Dog K9 Academy has a doggie daycare! Amy’s very own dog was trained there and they are the best if you need dog training.

Honey and the remaining puppies are at Paws and Prayers Pet Rescue. Please reach out to them for adoption and please consider adopting! We miss those pups so much and want to make sure they get adopted.

Hello again,

On behalf the Hollingsworth family, I, Autumn, one of the employees at the business, wanted to give another update on the coming status of Green Family Pets. With a heavy heart and after long consideration, the family has decided to close the business Amy has loved with all her heart indefinitely.

After suffering a spinal stroke, we want to put our upmost efforts into making sure she recovers both physically and mentally. It is going to be a long recovery process for her, and we want to make sure it goes as smoothly as possible.

Amy has adored working with your families and pets these past few years. Please know that from the bottom of both her heart as well as her employees, we love all of you and wish you all the best. We express our deepest apologies for all our valued customers. Again, as I said in the last post, we will be looking to cancel any upcoming and future appointments or reservations.

Please keep Amy and her family in your thoughts these days. All your messages and comments have shown one of the things she loved the most about owning Green Family Pets: The incredible community she has grown to know and love.

We will be trying to answer what we can in the coming days in terms of questions and concerns regarding the business, but please be aware we are flooded with things to do right now. We will do what we can to get back in a timely manner. Please watch this page for updates.

Hello,

This past weekend, the owner, Amy Hollingsworth, was involved in an instance in her personal life that left her in critical condition in the hospital. As of now, we are unsure of when she will be discharged, let alone ready to return to attending to the business she has grown to care so deeply about.

As many know, we were scheduled to move facilities this week. The timing of this has been nothing short of unfortunate. We’d like to express our sincerest apologies, but as of now, Green Family Pets will be transitioning into a hopefully short period of closure. We would like to utilize this time to focus on making sure Amy heals properly and making sure our new facility is 100% ready for all of you.

For now, any grooming appointments and boarding reservations until the end of November will have to be cancelled. We are unsure if we will be up and running by that time, but we wanted to provide as much information as we could. If need be, we may have to extend that date. Please expect us to be closed for the foreseeable future.

Again, we express our sincerest apologies to all of our deeply valued customers. Amy, as well as all the employees at our shop, appreciate every one of you and your pets. We hope to see you all as soon as possible, but for now please accept our deepest apologies.

Those looking for boarding in Green, please feel free to reach out to us for recommendations. We will try to respond as swiftly as possible. Many of our employees do at-home pet sitting and we can provide other recommendations in the near area.

Cats. Cats are always a gamble! This cat was on some calming medicine, and he was so calm it made me nervous! At what point does he freak out? And on Mr. Buddy here, there was nothing but absolute adoration and purrs. Now, on to the next cat!
