11/23 AM Good and bad news for Darby Her bloodwork has been wonderful and shes feeling good But she continues to have arrhythmias This could mean that it may take longer for her or that she has permanent heart damage This would mean a cardiologist visit to see what exactly that means She will stay for the rest of the day in Fairmont please continue to pray for Darby 🙏🏻 If youd like to contribute to the new balance at NCWV you can call 304-363-2227

11/22 PM Overall all good news. Her kidney values have normalized and her electrolytes are also starting to normalize. She’s still having arrhythmias but not as often She’s eating drinking and bright. They want to keep her another 24 hrs keep the prayers coming! If youd like to contribute to the new balance at NCWV you can call 304-363-2227 THANK YOU ALL FOR EVERYTHING!!!

11/22 NCWV called this morning, overall Darby is improving but is still dealing with an arrhythmia She has been started on heart meds to help Only time will tell at this point wether or not there was any permanent damage to her organs More bloodwork and another update this evening

11/21 Darby’s most recent bloodwork isn’t what we hoped Her kidneys are starting to show some effects from the overdose She will be spending at least another 24 hours in Fairmont Please continue to pray for her Thank you all for your support and donations that are helping us to continue fighting for her 💔

🚨 HELP 🚨

🩷 Darby 🩷 has been in foster with us since late summer.

Darby found her forever home at our event last Sunday and was set to go with her new family this weekend. She is the absolute sweetest and the most resilient dog.

Yesterday, Darby escaped her crate while her foster mom was at work. Darby proceeded to eat an entire box of allergy meds that she had been taking. We suspect that she ingested upwards of 90 pills. 💊

Last night, we rushed Darby to NCWV while speaking to poison control. There is a very real possibility that Darby will go into organ failure.

🏥 She needs to be hospitalized and observed for 48 hours.

Our bill from NCWV WAS $1040 (I will post in the comments). We did transfer her to Alpha Vet this morning and we will have to take her back to NCWV tonight and back to Alpha tomorrow.

We are in DESPERATE need of donations.

🙏 Please pray for Darby as we are unsure what the next week may bring. We are so sad and broken hearted to see Darby like this. If you have had the pleasure of meeting her, you would know that this is not the girl that we know and love. 💗

➡️ If you prefer to donate via cash or check, we will be at the shelter today until 6 pm and tomorrow 10:30-1:30.

Holidays disrupt routines, causing pet anxiety!

Maintain regular feeding and exercise schedules. Create a quiet retreat space away from guests. Use calming pheromone diffusers before parties.

Never force shy pets to interact with visitors. Watch for stress signs: hiding, decreased appetite, or bathroom accidents. We can help with anxiety management strategies!

Donations are also being accepted in person or over the phone at our office. We are open tonight until 6pm and tomorrow ...

Did you know 90% of pets have dental disease by age 3? Bad breath isn't normal - it's bacteria!

Untreated dental disease causes pain and can damage the heart, liver, and kidneys.

Daily brushing, dental chews, and professional cleanings keep mouths healthy.
