With Thanksgiving approaching, let's keep your pets safe from holiday hazards!

Turkey bones can splinter and cause serious injuries. Rich, fatty foods may trigger pancreatitis. Onions, garlic, grapes, and chocolate are toxic.

Create a pet-safe celebration by setting aside plain, cooked turkey (no skin!) as a special treat.

Your furry family members can enjoy the holiday safely!

⭐️ Wow, have we come a long we since last year! We've opened intake for cats, hired amazing employees, recruited the best volunteers and continue to help dogs in need through our foster program.

As we open our doors to the community, we’re excited to spread kindness in more ways than one. While our mission is to support animals in need, we also care deeply about the families and children within our community.

This holiday season, we’re partnering with our local Children & Youth organization to host an Angel Tree in our lobby! Each tag represents a local child who could use a little extra holiday magic. ✨

Our team member’s beloved cat, Gulliver, has gone missing from the East Millsboro, PA area. He’s a domestic longhair white and tabby male, neutered and microchipped.

He was last seen on October 24, 2025.
