UPDATE! Bugs are in a safe zone! Working on making them even warmer! (10 degrees hotter would be ideal!)
Unfortunately we are now also experiencing car issues... Most bug sales are currently on a temporary hold.

Does anyone know anyone who is a bug sitter? I might need to find that needle in a haystack. Just that one nutty enough person! Sadly my furnace broke yesterday (my hot water tank 2 weeks ago but thankfully that doesn't effect my critters just the humans smell ripe) and i can't keep my little guys warm enough. A few days of chill is ok but they can't be in these temperatures for to long. I have alot of bins 30Plus...
I have about 23 species...
I'm just brainstorming ideas. These guys bring me true joy and happiness. I have huge visions involving these little guys and this little business I'm slowly building. My heart would shatter if i were to have to start them all over again.
This is definitely not the type of post I'd like to be putting on my page but my priorities are keeping these guys happy and healthy. So if anyone has any ideas to keep them warm i am all ears! Unfortunately i can't use plug in heaters... Very old house...

Caught this pretty lady working hard on paying her share of rent. Poor girl started laying her eggs in one spot and kept moving. I have the tendency to interrupt everyone while they get down to important business! Will i ever learn to stop being so intrusive? Probably not but i absolutely love all my little critters I work with!

There is just something about giving any of my critters bananas that just hits them differently. Even these crickets. Sometimes or should i say many times doing my rounds takes longer than it should because i love watching everyone enjoy their meal.
I'll spend hours on end just watching everyone.
I might have a slight problem but i wouldn't change anything about it!
When i pack them up i even say sorry you are about to be eaten.
Now i got about 20k eggs incubating. If it's successful my household is about to have a whole lot of chaos.
The birds love the extra chaos. Sometimes i cant tell if its a bird chirping or the crickets chirping oh boy...

This little one is adventurous came straight up when i put the banana in. First time trying it too! Took less than half a minute.

They make me so happy. Can't wait till their population is atleast 100k. Can never have to many of these guys!

My red runners really give me a run!
Due to technical difficulties a few months back most of my colony seemingly vanished into thin air. It was to the point I thought about halting the project.
Only a few remained. Tended to their needs and started seeing nymphs. 2 adult males and one female. Of course a terrible ratio. Yet I rolled with it. Well one day I see a random red runner casually prancing around the room like he owned the whole house. I thought I acted fast to grab him but i did not. He ran circles around me taunting my every move. He won the battle and somehow became known as Mr. Nonchalant.
Mr. Nonchalant might still be lurking around casually somewhere in my home.
Whelp so for a while I just had one male one female and a number of nymphs... Well until a few days ago...
I go to check on them and well all i see is the one female and the nymphs. Oh and a perfectly preserved exoskeleton of a male adult roach!? Uhm buddy you are an adult and should not be shedding!? So unless I am missing something I am just left utterly confused with these guys 😂 none the less I will continue the project of the red runners and see where it takes me next.
I absolutely love what I do and I can't wait to share the joy with the rest of the world!
