Has this dry, dry spring been awful on your allergies? The dust and the pollen caught up with our friend here- his owner called this morning to ask about his swollen and crusty eye. Eyes are always emergencies in our book so we squeezed him in to have a look. While the eye itself was ok, he had quite a lot of discharge around the eye that made us suspicious for a blocked nasolacrimal duct. Using a small catheter and saline we were able to flush the duct and clear all this nasty mucus out for him! We also started him on some anti-inflammatory and allergy medications to try and prevent it from happening again. Now, if we could just get some rain to keep all that pollen down!

A day for chompers! Dentistry services are out of our wheelhouse, so we phoned a friend to give our four leggeds their annual dental exam and float- Dr. Miller and Dr. Kibbie were classmates and now get to have fun working on each other’s horses! Thanks for coming out today, Dr. Miller 🦷🐴❤️💙
