Sorry for the lack of updates, everyone! We just sent Pink (now officially Lucy!) home with her awesome , meaning all ten puppies are now out of the nest (except for Ro, who came back to stay while his baby sister is being born)! We dropped Mack off outside of Chicago two weeks ago while traveling up there for Mary’s injection.

It’s a very bittersweet day not having the puppies here with us anymore, but we know they are being loved and extremely well taken care of, which is all we could ask. Please continue to share pics and news; we are always interested to see how they are growing up! 😓 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾

Bentley went home with his awesome today, meaning we have two pups left at the house. Once again sad to see one of our babies leave, but it just means more love to give Macalie and Annie! 😓

We sent Archie with his wonderful this morning, leaving us with the (Bentley, Macalie, and Annie (what we've taken to calling Pink rather than "Pink")) pending tomorrow morning when Bentley goes home! So extremely sad to see my boy Archie go, but at least our puppy food budget will drop by 60-75%.

Petcubers, if you were wondering why we've only had 1 camera the last couple of weeks, it's because someone (not going to name any names) pulled down the other one, chewed through the cord, and broke the camera by playing with it like a tennis ball. Again, not going to nAme any paRtiCular puppies Here, In case somEone gets the wrong impression, because I love them all.

I’m so proud of these 4 puppies! First night sleeping in their crate and they slept all night long and didn’t have one accident! They are so enjoying pestering… I mean playing with… their mom this morning. 😂

With Leo (light blue) going home with his , we are officially down to four remaining pups! That means the will begin crate training here, and it’s time to put the puppy pen in storage for (potentially) another day. That’ll do, puppy pen. That’ll do.

The puppies took their first car ride today to the shot clinic, where they behaved exceptionally well in the exam room. It was a little cold in there, so they slowly reconstituted themselves as the largest yet like a puppy T-1000 (real ones know). And now we are back for a late lunch!

As I mentioned on the video a few minutes ago, the puppies got their last set of puppy collars (at least from us!) this evening. Here are a few examples, and yes, Betty changed color yet again. She started as lavender, became light pink, and is now grey. We knew we would always be able to tell her apart because of , so color didn’t matter. 🐾

Gracie has been such a wonderful mother to her puppies since day one, but it’s been particularly amazing seeing her engage with them as they’ve gotten older and needed her less.

It’s bittersweet knowing we only have a few days left with some of our puppies, but we are excited for our who are getting these amazing little ones!

Grooming: We use a standard slicker brush and a comb (liked below) to keep both our Goldendoodles looking fluffy. The comb help with undercoating mats and the slicker brush helps with fluffing their fur.

In addition to crate training, one thing we strongly recommend is bell training in connection with going outside to potty. The idea is simple. Hang a bell like the one shown below on the door k**b of the primary door you will use to let your puppy outside. Every time he/she needs to go outside, hit the bell with the puppy’s nose or paw so it causes a noise. Eventually the puppy will associate the bell with needing to go outside and will alert you to that need by hitting the bell, saving your door and frame from scratches and making it more likely you hear the noise.

We took the bells off our doors when our dogs became capable of holding it until we could let them out but otherwise swear by bell training so your puppy has a way of letting you know what they need. You just have to do it for them a few times before they figure it out!

We’ve gotten a few questions about what puppy food we are using. It is Purina Pro Plan Large Breed Puppy (Amazon link below).

I want to stress that you DO NOT have to use this brand or type (or buy it from Amazon, obviously), but we will send some home with our puppies just in case. If you decide to transition to something else, we recommend you do it progressively over about a week, slowly mixing in more and more of what you want to use until the Purina is completely phased out.
