Veterinary Science Outreach, which encompasses the Animal Diagnostic Laboratory, Field Investigation, and Veterinary Extension, serves Pennsylvania agriculture by utilizing advanced diagnostic medicine and on-farm problem solving. Our personnel, including veterinarians, technicians, and students, conduct research, field investigations and teaching, and provide educational programs and materials to those interested in animal agriculture.

The Vet Extension team, along with Allied Milk Producers, attended the 2024 Multicultural Children’s Festival at WPSU. We gave out string cheese and dairy promotional items. Many kids were able to learn about mammary gland anatomy, milk production, and milking practices in dairy cows.

Another very successful summer of research has concluded in the Penn State Extension Veterinary Team lab. We couldn’t be more pleased with all the hard work this year’s team has accomplished. Not only was high quality research performed, but also, young researchers were initiated into the scientific field. Our diverse team proudly represented 5 different countries (US, Colombia, Costa Rica, China, Iran and Argentina), speaking 4 different languages (English, Spanish, Irani and Chinese). Otro verano muy exitoso de investigación ha concluido en el laboratorio del Equipo Veterinario de Extensión de Penn State. No podríamos estar más satisfechos con todo el arduo trabajo que ha realizado el equipo de este año. No sólo se realizó investigación de alta calidad, sino que también se inició en el campo científico a jóvenes investigadores. Nuestro equipo diverso representó con orgullo a 5 países diferentes (EE.
