We have three beautiful blue slates ready for a new home! These beautiful babies will need an indoor brooder and heat lamp for several months and turkey game bird starter feed. Pm if you’re interested! They’re such friendly poults!

Did you know that blue slate turkeys are endangered?

Blue slates are rare heritage breeds,and are on the watch list of the American livestock conservancy.

There were only 2500 of these friendly birds in the USA prior to April 2022!

Blue slate turkeys are globally endangered, and there are only 10000 left in the whole world. I may have some currently available, but If not I have a wait list.

Why are my blue slate turkeys black? Blue slates can produce several different colors- black, solid blue, and blue with black spots. The Tom below is blue with black spots, so the poults are different colors!

We still have four poults who are eagerly waiting for a new flock to call home! These heritage turkeys are super friendly, will follow you around as you do chores and yard work, and will give you lots of laughs. PM for more info!

8 Blue Slate turkeys just hatched!

Blue slates are a heritage breeds, so they will not get as big as broad breasted turkeys. They are friendly, and have a great disposition. These turkeys are about one week old, and they’ll make a great addition to your big or little farm!
