With windchills once again in the -30s tonight I know it’s hard to be thinking about spring and especially summer, but we’re starting to already book up into April and May 🤗 if you are interested in starting your horse, a restart from a previous trainer, tune-up, or finishing, please PM the page.

Consignment horses are also being taken if there is an open spot.

Hi all!

It’s been busy since we first opened our doors last fall; I can’t thank everyone who has come down our drive enough for trusting us with their horses. It always helps to know a bit more about the people behind the logo so introductions are below!

Main brain behind everything - Jake Huffman - I grew up riding and always have felt at home in the saddle; during college I rescued and retrained countless horses, and always held kids camps during the summer breaks. My background is in reining, but find my true enjoyment is helping a horse find their happiness and confidence. Most times you will find me on the ground more than the saddle as I love helping riders find that connection with their horse.

Partner in crime - Sara Huffman - similar to Jake; grew up riding and showing. Worked under several trainers during college and trained privately during summer breaks. Experiences range from showing pleasure horses growing up to loping and c**t starting for reining trainers.

Good foundations are key to setting a horse up for success no matter what their discipline or destination.

Whether hitting on an issue or fine tuning a response while riding; never forget to check yourself on “how” you are asking for a maneuver.

Am I setting my horse up for success or am I confusing them with multiple cues and getting in their way?

Timing is everything, and the greatest riders make it look easy only because they have learned the feel of every footfall their horse takes and can help their horse get that “yes!” answer that will be easier to repeat over time.

Everyone has a phone these days, right? Stick it in a tree, duck tape it to the side of a fence post, video yourself to better yourself 🙌🙌👍
